    Heater Core how to

Yup, And let me tell you the aftermarkets and the OE are NOT identical! Kind of ticks me off. I'm sure that going from copper to aluminum they probably had to be changed a little to keep them strong but gee. The one I used the issue was that it's width was a tiny bit narrower so I had to seal...

    Tank Selector switch Installation

@TruckCo I've worked on the tank switches plenty on these trucks, and I think it's shoved in from the front after assembly, but I also know they used at least two different switches, and if your truck is fuel injected then that makes 3 different switches because the TBI switches are unique to...

What should I sell engine & tranny for?

The one good thing is that gas prices would go down when I leave the Puget sound area and not get back to $5.20 a gallon for regular until I got back, so all those dollars spent in gas would feel like a deal!

What should I sell engine & tranny for?

It would be fun especially described the way I just did, me, the dog, a square body suburban.

What should I sell engine & tranny for?

If I was single man and didn't have the farm I'd load the dog in the square body suburban I don't own but would if I was single and I'd make the trip for fun, and it would be a blast. But I'm not single, I have a farm that needs me, and a wife that does as well, so it's a no go. Sorry.

What should I sell engine & tranny for?

I hope someone local to you will give some input because it seems to me the it can vary widely. used engine and tranny all accessories, if I the buyer can see it run and drive might worth 2,500 or more around here but elsewhere that might be $500. Just depends on local demand and availability.

What should I sell engine & tranny for?

To bad you aren't closer, I'd make an offer on the engine and come pick it up from wherever but you are way to far away for that!

Why does my fuel tank look different to everyone else's?

Never mind I wrote before reading the last post, and I did not realize Nick has recently done a tank, so he already knows what's needed.

    Tachometer replacement thoughts

Those tach / fuel gauges are flickin' awesome. I've thought about doing that in my truck then I could integrate my transmission temp gauge into the cluster where the clock was using a second temp gauge. Would look like it was factory. But by the time I learned about the tach / fuel combo...

Engine / exhaust noise care to take a stab at what it might be?

I'm right there with you on the vacuum gauge thing. I don't think the sensation that is there would be present if it was baffle in the muffler. Basically you and @squaredeal91 backed up my thinking, but you never know sometimes someone will see or hear something different. I will do the...

Engine / exhaust noise care to take a stab at what it might be?

Not an odd question to me, I test I've run and shown others that trick. I have not tried it on the truck but should.

Engine / exhaust noise care to take a stab at what it might be?

Truck 1984 Chevrolet C20 305. It's always had somewhat of a minor putting noise, but recently it has become more obvious. I generally cannot feel it, or barely feel it in drive, but in park there is some pretty obvious rhythm. Going down the road the truck runs great with no odd noises or...

    Double Dingo's 1991 Jeep Cherokee

There is a picture here: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/vpn-5ca213 I mean to add to this, I have seen OEM factory dealer parts get genericized overtime so I could definitely see the possibly that the correct fitting Walbro pump may simply no longer exist. I just asked for details on...

    Double Dingo's 1991 Jeep Cherokee

Ok I get a delphi # HP10148 - I know you want to stay away from them, but just putting it in there for reference. Also that is for an assembly / module. Precision Fuel Pump and Hanger Assembly # A30076 This is a model too. I do not know who makes Precision fuel pumps as they are orielly's...

    Double Dingo's 1991 Jeep Cherokee

@DoubleDingo Some of the pump only type kits I swear it seems like they are a pretty universal pump and I agree sometimes they don't fit the pump module correctly. Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help! I'm happy to look up stuff at work for you such as part numbers. Good...

    86 C10 headlights went out

That sounds like a bad headlight switch or possibly the connector, sometimes they get hot and melt. I'd get a new headlight switch pull it out and inspect the connector too.

Has anyone seen this tonneau before?

No knowledge on the brand or how common it is or isn't. Depending on the price you decide to sell it for I might be interested, though to be honest I'm been more in the market for a fold or roll up. I guess we'd need to discuss it, but once you have decided on a price please let me know so we...

    Ford Trash Talk Thread lol

I couldn't agree more. For many years my only truck was a 92' Dakota, and I had a little utility trailer. When the farm was small it was okish and I liked the truck well enough, but as the farm got bigger it just got impossible. I bought a tractor and needed a flat bed trailer to haul it on...

    Heater Core how to

I kind of wish I'd of taken a before temp, because I always felt the truck had a plenty strong heater in it. Guess we'll see this winter when it gets good and cold.

    Heater Core how to

So I just wanted to give an update. The reason for the heater core replacement was that it was seeping. I wasn't having an issue with heater output, but tested it this afternoon just to see. That's 140F I think that will work!
