What have you done to your square lately??
Love that sound! Still saving up for some long tubes though. I’ve got the glass packs dumped at the axle with no pipe after them but have heard they will sound better with a tail pipe. Any suggestions or leave them as they are? -

Nice exhaust! I got mine for $26 dollars apiece at Oriellys and I thought that was a good deal. I love the sound of glass packs. I know most people want Flowmasters now but they’re too hollow sounding to me. -
Recommendations while tearing down for valve job?
I would replace the springs while you’re in there. How much is the shop doing? I would suggest having the valve guides and seats replaced also (unless you have the 882 heads that have everything integrated like I do than that could cost a lot to get them all drilled out and fit with replaceable...- Truck82

Yes it was running before. I tried to time it when I first installed the distributor after I did a top end rebuild in the spring but couldn’t se the timing mark. I’m thinking I might have moved them over a terminal. Is there any way I can check which one the no. 1 cylinder should be on without removing the valve cover to look at when the valves are closed?- Truck82

Ahh I see what you are saying. My distributor was installed 180 out already and I was having to time it off of a companion cylinder.
