What have you done to your square lately??
I did some cleaning & arranging in the shop today. I had a mountain of wheels & tires in the way the past couple weeks so I decided to carry my half-crippled self & install them on my next project. Recuperating from a heart attack 9 months ago & neck surgery 9 weeks ago...I didn't do too bad... -

Yeah, Godwin is just off exit 73 & Paul Jr (PJ's) truck bodies are on exit 77. PJ is Pat's SIL. They have quite the enterprise around here. HS -

Yeah, Pat Godwin just passed away last year. GODWIN MFG is off exit 73 & we're live off exit 71. A couple years back Pat flew the AG Mech teacher to Missouri & they came up with a Lincoln Welder cert. We're the only public HS in the nation where a student can get nationally certified thru... -

I took the ole 76 and let the students do some work to it. They enjoyed working on the rusty hag and I enjoyed watching a few of them get that twinkle in the eyes for old Squares. We replaced the tired 283 with a proper 350, replaced the fuel tank, checked all the fluids, lights and brakes. It... -

6 Lug front wheel studs Help
Most of the time as long as the knurl is tight things will be right. I have seen where the panhead was too large and needed ground for clearance. Looks like you're on the right path though. HS- Strick

1983 K10 saddle tank replacement with in frame tank
Welcome to the site and as @legopnuematic states, there's plenty of info for doing a Sub/K5 tank on these trucks. I didn't buy a kit but used a K5 tank and straps along with building my on mount when I built my '55 truck a few years back. It's not that difficult. HS- Strick

6 Lug front wheel studs Help
That knurl size needs to be the same as the old stud so that it will seat in the hub flange. The K trucks have a larger hole in the brake rotor and the stud passes through that and seats in the hub. I drilled a K10 some years ago and increased the stud to 1/2-20. I worked in parts and was able...- Strick
