    Say no to Cracks

Here are some pics of the steering brace. There's not a lot to see it's tight. I would recommend installing the bracket before connecting the hoses to the gear box.

    ORD Rear Spring Shackle Install

I got around to installing one of these this past weekend. Everything went smooth except for the removal of the outer stock bushing steel. it had grown as one with the spring eye. I used Energy Suspension bushings for the top eye. The hole in the bracket and the steel sleeve for the bushing had...

    Charcoal canister delete?

I installed a can on my truck. I bought it from Rock auto. I went with a simple 3 port type. They don't stock all the years. I had to make a bracket out of a hose clamp.

    Say no to Cracks

I installed the ORD bolt in steering box and frame brace this past weekend. The install is pretty straight forward. The install does require drilling a hole in the cross member and grinding the holes out on the existing factory bracket. The ORD part is heavy gauge plate that is nicely welded...

    Vinyl Floor Recommendations?

I put down POR15 on the bare floor. I then covered the paint with some Jegs brand dyno mat type stuff. Then added a jute insulation. It's working nice. I need to do the fire wall the same way. A project for another time.

Haynes manual suggest silicone dielectric grease for ignition module?

As a side note I always put a dab of the silicon grease on my spark plug wires. It keeps them from sticking to the plugs and or cap terminals.

    Windshield Wiper Harness

Good morning everyone. Has anybody found a vender that sells a replacement connecter for the windshield wiper motor assy. I have been having issues with my wipers for a long time. I have even attached a separate ground from the wiper motor to a bolt on the fire wall. It's hit or miss if they...

Need a inline fuel pump for Carbed 350, what brand/ part?

I bought a Jeg's brand Mech. pump. It cost about $50. It failed within a few weeks. I took it apart and it was defective. The pump arm moved off the diaphragm and carnage ensued. I bought an Edelbrock pump it was $120. Ouch! I' ve not had any problems since.

    Exhaust options for a 1990 suburban 4x4?

I used the Dynomax kit on my truck. I had all the connections welded at the local muffler shop. The pipes exiting the rear are not the same. There is some difference in the bends. The kit I used the pipes are bent to go around the spare tire under the bed. I also had to fab a couple of...

What have you done to your square lately??

The lowered trucks and 20" wheels are all the rage here in the greater Houston area. Everyone wants a hotrod and not a real working truck. It's become boring. JMHOP.

    Are pneumatic tools obselete?

It all depends on the specific application. The quality of the air tool, and the size of the compressor. I have both. I don't know what we did before the Dewalt battery tools when working in the petrol chemical plants here in Texas. ( insert brand name here) Oh I know we had to drag a...

    86" K-10 Values

Very clean truck. If it was 2 wheel drive the price would be through the roof here in the Houston area. Dropped short bed trucks are all the rage here. I don't see many K series in my neighborhood. I'm one of the few. Yours is a lot cleaner than mine. Good luck with it.

Do I rebuild my SBC or swap for an LS3?

My Gen 1 350 runs great with the Vortech heads, long tubes , Eddy carb , and a Jegs intake. I spent the $$ and went with a hyd. roller from GM it's the HT 383 cam. I've thought about adding FI, but can't justify the cost.

Do I rebuild my SBC or swap for an LS3?

In all reality I like the idea of the HT 383 from GM if it were Me. Thats what I'm going to do when my crate 350 bites the dust. The prices have gone up on them. JOE did that!!!

Do I rebuild my SBC or swap for an LS3?

I vote for a carb LS build. I like the LS engines I've built several for my Camaro. They are simple to work on a 10mm ,13 mm and 15 mm are about all the wrench sizes that you need. The captive gaskets, o rings are nice they don't leak. They make big power for their size. They are very durable...
