Negative ghostrider. Plenty of room to run the exhaust over the top of the crossmember. It’s 2” tubing so there’s a ton of room above it But, I am getting different headers anyways. Well it was a very productive weekend. Got the tranny crossmember all fabbed up painted and installed, and also got a bunch of wiring cleaned up and the headlights and fog lights wires thanks to my dad. LS Swap parts

Does anyone know if the computer “needs” to know the coolant temp? I initially bought an adapter from ICT billet to run a stock gen1 chevy sending unit but when I started the truck I got a CEL from no coolant temp signal. I can’t, because I actually haven’t done it yet. All I’m going to do is chop the ends off after the collector (about 8” or so of 2.5” pipe after the collector), weld in an O2 bung to the collector area, and then fab some 2.5” exhaust pipe the does a bit of an S shape (not really an S but it...- smurfasaur

Started fitting my JK fog lights. Definitely didn’t think cutting a 4” diameter hole in 1/2” plate would work that good. Bumper is definitely overkill and was definitely made in shop class or something but I like it. Makes for a damn good step to get into the engine bay Sent from my iPhone...- smurfasaur

Interesting. Yep the cutout was to clear the driveshaft on the setup my truck came with (208/465). Even with the cutout there was only about 1/8” clearance for the front shaft Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- smurfasaur

I think the key is to do a TON of research, and get a engine/tranny with all accessories from a running rig. That’s been the biggest money suck for me is that I got a $500 engine/tranny which turned out to be worse than dog poo and both had to be rebuilt ($1800 tranny and $2000ish engine because...- smurfasaur

Lol - similar story with me on the budget... started with a $1k truck and $500 motor/trans and now I “think” I’m about $6k deep. Don’t want to add stuff up to know for sure. I did get a new welder out of the deal though so that was nice and a few new tools like you say. I have an unknown type...- smurfasaur

For some reason that name is super familiar. He has some nice stuff. Looks like he doesn’t do 4x4 crossmembers though and I already bought steel to fab one. Pretty happy with how I’ve got my pcm and relay/fuse box mounted too, at least happy enough not to buy someone else’s mounts lol Trying...- smurfasaur
