Factory 83-87 stereo question
When I bought my truck I noticed my dash wasn't hacked up. Since I'm not sure what I'm doing for a stereo just yet, I purchased a stock AM/FM radio from a gentleman and it even has the knobs! Thanks! I need to put the interior back together today so I can start cleaning up the wheels and also remove the front bumper guard. She needs a 4-6" drop but that'll have to wait a few weeks. @Rusty Nail- 42Grand

Mine’s a 77 Cheyenne with all the chrome strips and it’s all yellow except for one that wore off. I didn’t know that when I bought it but it’s pretty cool!- 42Grand

What have you done to your square lately??
Unfortunately I do have a couple corners with rust but they're kinda small. I'm just gonna drive this thing the way she sits and enjoy it for a few years. -

I've got enough left to put in and on the doors, as well as the headliner area. I need to figure out what I'm doing for door panels then I'll get to work. I'm planning on installing speakers in the doors and behind the seats so as much as this stuff I can slap on any piece of metal will help... -

I picked up my seat last week, spent a few days on the Fat Mat (that stuff takes forever!). Threw in some extra padding / heat shield (AZ summers SUCK) and carpet. After that I installed the seat! 3 days off and on installing the fat mat and it only took about 6 hours to install the carpet and... -

With the work that I do, I spend a ton of time behind the windshield. I love some killer tunes with great sound. I would like for the speakers to be hidden. Reflecting off the windshield would work great but I've got to make sure the guy that recovered my seat can redo my dash. If so, i'll see... -

I found a wire while I was ripping out my single cab interior. I'm thinking it has something to do with the cab light but I don't have a door plunger in my truck. This connector was just hanging out by my drivers side seat belt. It ran along the sill plate, under the carpet and up into the fuse...- 42Grand

What have you done to your square lately??
Spent a few hours in the sun ripping out the entire interior. Made a mess, but got the carpet, gaskets, headliner and door panels all taken out. Scraped the dirt and carpet remnants out and vacuumed it all out (including inside the doors). Now I just need to get the carpet kit and sound proofing... -

Ya, I'm only interested in doing either 5" or 6.5" components. I may have to build out a little bit behind it so the speaker will be surface mount or something similar. I haven't even taken the door panels off yet so I have no clue if they're going to fit recessed or not. I do have crank windows... -

DUDE! That 6x9 one would work perfectly! I wasn't really planning on going with 6x9's but that might just be easier. I really wanted a 6.5" component set but i'll have to see what other products they sell. I'm sure it's not just those 4 items. Thanks @Craig 85! -

I'll be dropping it and cleaning up the exterior as well. I got really lucky with this one and it's been a pretty fun project so far! -

It's got a little rust, been re-painted in a few places but other than that it's in really good shape. Unfortunately the interior is roasted. I'm trying to get it cleaned up enough to get it into GoodGuys in a few weeks. The 2 tone is my inspiration to keep me going. I want that look BAD -
