Great idea and good write up with photos. One thing I will ask, which center console did you buy? The one on Rakuten looks different and is double the price.
Thanks,
Michael
Yeah it's a Suburban K1500 so half ton 4x4 which is indeed 6 lug. I will think about those wheels. I can't afford them right now but at least I know what to look for.
As for the $500 truck, should I be worried about frame damage? Maybe I can trade this guy a laptop or a website or something...
what is a bonanza??

would these work on my 95 suburban...
700R4 was later modified and renamed to 4L60E.
the 4L80E is a much heavier duty transmission. It's basically a descendant of the TH400 with an extra gear (and many other changes of course).
Makse sense. If one could afford that truck you can afford an hour to fix the lights :)
Here's what I don't get... would you really take something so expensive mudding/off road hard enough to warranty such a large lift? Probably not. Still, it looks absolutely awesome.
Haha that's pretty funny I had not even noticed that. I thought something looked off about the front but I couldn't tell. Either the seller is an idiot or he did in intentionally. If he knows this much about trucks you would think he could get that right. Still a cool truck though. Not sure if...
Why not just try to find used oil from a car shop or something? I don't know what the laws regarding that are about this but that way you can just keeping pouring oil in...
My Suburban came with one... it's a rubber thing with raised edges but it only covers the area behind the third row seat. Are you looking to cover the entire area with the third row seat removed?
I'll show her that. It's an inexpensive and light option. I vaguely recall there was a reason we didn't want to go that route but I don't remember and will run it by her again.
I came up with a quick design for the layout on a 6x12 cargo trailer with V-nose.
I didn't account for any appliances...
I discussed that option with my mom and I guess her concern is the size. That said, from the pictures at least they look roomy enough.
Those require a long bed dually though, right? And we would need to purchase an additional truck for that...
That is pretty cool... it's kinda like a huge pop-up trailer at that point. Unfortunately they don't seem to common.
Now mom wants to buy a cargo trailer and convert it to an RV herself. @.@ I suggested this in a joking manner and she took it seriously.
Here are a couple vids I've found where...
I know I should have kept it. Don't rub it in. I wish for it back every single day.
She decided not to even bother looking at that RV. We'll see how this develops. Methinks we'll start with a travel trailer and go from there. My friend has a 2002 GMC Envoy that can tow 6K+ and gets decent...
We kinda went and looked at it last night but it was dark. We didn't even start it up or anything. Before the seller showed up I crawled underneath. Frame wasn't raelly rusty but the rear suspension and front suspension pieces are very rusty. According to Carfax it spent a long time in New...
Alright so I found the RV on Google Maps and drove by after work (we have an appointment with the seller and they didn't give us address but we don't live in a big town and I knew there was a tennis court behind the RV based on their pictures on Craigslist) and got the plate so I could run a...
