Factory intake, carb, and other parts

I found these parts for sale for $100. Was curious what everyone thought of them and if they’re worth buying. Factory 4bbl carb, factory intake, and other factory parts.

    Gearing Help

So why would I have to switch out the front axle just cause I switch out the gears? I’ll be switching both front and rear to match.

    Gearing Help

No just needs a good bath and some parts replaced and or fixed. Don’t know about the mileage on her. Gauge shows 55k but I’m gonna go ahead and guess that’s probably 155k lol

    Gearing Help

She’s fairly solid. Has a few rust spots that need attention but nothing major. Just needs someone to love on her is all. Used to be my grandpas truck then my uncles high school truck. So she’s special.

This is the truck I’m working on. Have done a few things since this picture but haven’t gotten any new pictures. Work in progress for sure.

    Gearing Help

I have no idea about the tc. All I know is the trans, tc, and transfer case were given to me and the trans and t case were supposed to have been rebuilt with tougher parts than factory. I like the idea of running between 2-2300 rpm so either of those would work. This is all in an 85 GMC High...

    Gearing Help

I’m going to be driving anywhere from 35 to 70. Some hills and some flat. May haul a 16ft metal utility trailer with up to 50 small square hay bales or a zero turn mower but nothing real heavy. Will be running 31x105r15 on it. May put a slightly bigger cam and bearing in it but nothing crazy. No...

    Gearing Help

Yeah see all that makes no sense to me lol. I mean I know what you mean when you say taller gears but how it all works with the different factors confuses me. I want half decent mpg but also have a decent amount of power all around as well. As balanced as possible. I can’t find any charts or...

    Gearing Help

Okay so I’m putting in a 350 in my GMC. For some reason it has a .308 rear end gear in it. The front is factory .342. I’m going to putting 31x10.5 tires on it and also it’s getting a 700r4 trans. So what gear would be best? Cause that chart and all I’ve read I’m confused because people are...

    3.42 gears vs 3.73 gears

Okay. That’s the only thing I was thinking that’d be a good fix. What brands do y’all recommend other than Detroit? Thanks for all your help guys!

    3.42 gears vs 3.73 gears

Okay so I’m also curious on why I have a non Posi Rear end? Only one tire spins when both are off the ground and I turn a tire. Why is it that way when it’s supposed to be a 4wd truck? I’m not the most educated person but that just don’t make any sense to me.

    3.42 gears vs 3.73 gears

It’ll be a mix of city and highway with hardly any trailering/hauling. May pull a small trailer with a mower on it once in a while but that’s probably about it.

    3.42 gears vs 3.73 gears

That’s my thought is to stay with the 3.42 to save a little money right now. I’ll never put a lift or big tires on it. It’s kinda a tribute truck. It used to be my grandpas truck and then it was my uncles hs truck and then my cousins hs truck so I want to keep the build simple and stock mostly...

    3.42 gears vs 3.73 gears

Okay so I have an 85 GMC K1500 High Sierra that originally had a 305 and 3.42 gears in it. Someone blew the rear and swapped in a rear end that has 3.08 gears in it and took the front drive shaft out. Was curious on what gears would be better with the 350 I’m putting in it, the 3.42 or the 3.73...
