Edelbrock WTH!?!
Driving around for hours...life is good. Parked for a while and went out again. Got about 2 blocks, smelled glass horribly and truck died. Wouldn't start up. Pulled air cleaner and watched gas pouring out passenger side where choke spring tab sits and then gas bubbling out drivers side...- fallguy

Axle swap for gear ratio
Just a follow up I owe on this post. The new Tuff Country EZ Ride springs are amazing and ride very nice for the trucks we have! So much more gooder :-) than Rough Country! However, the 4" TC is more like 3" cause my 35's rubbed allot more than the RC's, so I dropped the front shackle 1" and...- fallguy

I think we're good....had to turn out my set screws one more turn (4 now) and wow what a difference...actually rolled the tires from a dead stop...that's a first! Test driving will continue to be sure...thank you fellas for all the help!- fallguy

Hooker Super Comp Headers Help!
Just bought a set in great condition on eBay. Long tube. $99 + $20s/h. They are bare metal so I need to coat. Question...I have no clue what kinda of a PIA they are going to be to install....any pics to help? What new brackets will I need? What will be in the way? I want to do this...- fallguy

Post cam install blues
Well ok, tightened down all carb and intake bolts. Carb were 1/2 turn loose. Intake passenger side were all 1/4 turn or less loose. Drivers side bolts around 1-3 were 1 turn loose. 5 were 1/2 turn loose. 7 were 1.5-2 turns loose. New Bosch Platinums. Re-verified wires on right. Wouldn't...- fallguy

VA? Verified all wires correct and even tried a diff new wire to 7 to see if I had a bad one in the new set. Will check intake manifold torqued down rite or not and then throw the damn thing away if that isn't it!!!- fallguy

Did that process already with the step up pistons. No change. I'll try changing plugs.....again but really I feel something has to be causing this to happen to the plugs,- fallguy

Bosch Platinum plugs 3 sets worth :-) Dual plane manifold yes. Edelbrock Performer Yes on the carb setup the same on both sides. Not rich on one side. No vacuum leaks from what can tell.... Carb was torn down cleaned all new gaskets and such installed. The current carb setup has existed...- fallguy

Ran 3 120 mile trips. All drivers side plugs fouled out each time. 1-3 wet and black wit a small chunk or two of carbon. 5 black and gray. 7 caked with carbon, wet and very black. This happens every time! wTH!?!- fallguy

120 mile drive today...blew out #7 again. Could hear loud lifter clicking in lower rpm range at 55mph. Shifted out of OD and ran smooth to home...let rpm drop in OD and the miss is unbearable- fallguy

New cam springs & lifters are in. After 45 mike drive started a horrible shudder in lower rpm range.....missing. Replaced all plugs. Pass side good. Driver side 1-3 gas on em and some carbon, 5 fine, 7 very wet and lots of carbon. Ran perfectly for 125 miles. Started to stumble when moving...- fallguy

Cruise Control Linkage adjustment
So what are the rules for adjusting this linkage? My CC has never worked right, but it has worked. Just slows down 5 mph etc. so, at WOT should it push in as far as it can on diaphragm or what? Should there be some slop when not on pedal? I just don't know what rules there are to set it...- fallguy

No I meant fan blade. Old on right. You can see there is about one less coil on the new and the spring seems to be slightly thicker, but they are the same height. New springs being placed. Old on top. You can see the XE256H has slightly more duration. The lobes are a bit taller...- fallguy

Well cam replacement project is moving full steam ahead. Originally I thought the new tranny governor was not set up correctly as it seemed to be limiting at 3500 rpm. Question: do I need a breather port on passenger valve cover? Drivers side valve cover...one port for vacuum line. Passengers side...one for breather one for fill cap. I called comp cam folks and told the tech support guy what I had, my issues and what I want to achieve. He told me I needed the ex256 with springs to match. Found that to be interesting because I've heard that suggestion a couple times before. I told him I'd eventually be doing a head swap...- fallguy
