    Yea I think it’s a 350, I counted the bolts and it’s 13. The 200 has 16 I think from what I’ve read.

    So the previous owner told me it had a 3 speed transmission in my 84 C10. I got it out on the highway and can definitely tell it’s a 2 speed. Also feels like a shift kit was put in. Is there a stamp on the case or something I can reference to find out exactly what I have without taking it somewhere?

    I’m going to order a new switch, looks like it got a little toasty. If that doesn’t fix the problem I will run an inline fuse to this solid brown wire.

    The only thing that I havnt checked is the fan speed switch and blower control switch on the control panel. I did some reading and found sometimes those can be faulty. That would explain why everything is good from the junction box over in engine compartment. I will look shortly, hopefully...

    Replaced the fuse still not getting power to controls. But getting power everywhere else. I’m tired of messing with it, looks like I’m taking it somewhere.

    Here is the only brown pigtail I see close to the switch connector. I unplugged it to see if it was getting power with a test light, nothing. We called it a night, tomorrow we plan on running a jumper from the battery to the brown pigtail to see if it gets power

    Thanks, this is a big help. I called every junk yard in town. Only one had a 87 C10, couldn’t tell me what all was left on it. Going to have a look and see if the wiring is there. I’ll dive into this rats nest tomorrow and keep you posted.

    Could use some help getting my AC and heat working. Poor bastard I bought the truck from must have been color blind. Has all kinds of different wires tied together. This looks like the blower motor switch but I can’t get power going to it. Anyone have a diagram or could walk me through? I jumped...

    Alright then, going to attempt it over the Christmas break. I at least want to get the AC and heat wired and working. Going to also figure out what cam I have and adjust the valves.

    Well found out it’s a painless wiring harness. But it looks like more of a pain in the ass harness. I found the instructions tucked under the bench seat. Is it as simple as following the instructions?

    Who has rebuilt their vent windows?

    Since we are on the topic of vent windows. I just rebuilt mine and ordered glass from LMC. The hole is too small in the glass for the locking handle to go through. I emailed them, we will see what they have to say.

    Noob here, speedometer gear housing

    To figure out the gears...instead of pulling the cover off. Can I mark the tire and driveshaft. Spin driveshaft and figure out how many turns it takes for tire to make 1 complete rotation?

    So I went underneath to check out the driven gear after I ran my speedometer cable and it looks like it’s just plugged with a bolt (this is where it goes right?). If that’s the case, how do I know what kind of speedometer gearto get. A 3 speed transmission is what was dropped in.
