Mine is a spectra. Reads great, no complaints from me. Did you check fuel line routing? Does it get too close to exhaust, engine, intake etc. You could be boiling the fuel in the line once you reach operating temperature.- Boone83K10

When I drained mine, it came out clean but stunk to high heaven. Then I pulled the sender and the pic shows what I saw. Never assume, one other thing to consider is if you suddenly are pulling vacuum within the fuel system after your repairs. Take the gas caps off and see if it runs better. Had...- Boone83K10

yeah it sounds like someone aftermarket'd it. it works, which is more than most can say that have dual tanks. Oil pressure fluctuating
your first indication was that it was 30 psi regardless of idle or WOT. Pressure should go up during acceleration. you should test the oil pressure switch with an ohmmeter. I don't remember the specific range it should be but higher ohms is lower oil pressure and lower ohms is higher oil...- Boone83K10

carb suggestions for a 350
I would assume it is mostly original. that would mean it would have a quadrajet already on it. why not just rebuild that one unless it is complete junk, but you said it runs rough so that is a start.- Boone83K10

Get you a vacuum gauge and tune to highest vacuum while keeping the screws at the same amount of turns in/out, also keep the idle rpm the same.- Boone83K10

Head gasket, water pump, or ?
First and easiest is check the ground. Blue or black or purple wire going from top of tank to the top of the frame. Then I'm guessing it is the sending unit.- Boone83K10
