What have you done to your square lately??

This past weekend I finally rebuilt the rear brakes from the wheel cylinders out with all new components. Hit the new drums with some BBQ black too. Also, finally glued in the foil backed insulation over my aluminum backed Vibro mat layer. This weekend I should be getting the seat back together...

See that red Crew Cab OBS in Pasco on FB for $5,800? Nice looking rig, smaller motor though. https://www.facebook.com/share/NF4iewTT78KHU21W/?mibextid=kL3p88

    Tina King Chevy/GMC seatbelts

She is only doing seatbelts now as the seats were just to much for her. I had a long email exchange with her yesterday about my seat project and some SEM dyes. Her email is: [email protected]

    LMC Parts

In the continuing saga of dash replacement - a new development. So, as you may know it arrived in Saddle, but not the Dark Saddle I needed. I decided to suck it up and just dye it myself. Well, Sunday I was getting it out to test fit and trim before doing the dye job and found a small defect...

    Seat recovering

I feel you. My latch bolt was spinning, busted weld. A little Booger welding and as good as(or better) than new!

What have you done to your square lately??

Started the seat project today disassembly and cleaning. Hog rings were no match for a decent set of side cutters thankfully. Foam isn't terrible, but I bought a new one anyhow. No busted springs and only mildly damaged cords. The seat retaining latch bolt wouldn't come out on the drivers side...

    Seat recovering

I'm about to embark on this same task. New lower foam and a new velour seat cover from LMC arrived last week. I saw the hog ring pliers it came with an immediately knew I had to nab a new set from hobo freight or I'd be driving the struggle bus. Didn't think much about the taking the old ones...

    LMC Parts

Well, the LMC order arrived today. Was excited to get a look at the dashboard and then I opened it...apparently Saddle means Tan. This is like the 73-80 Saddle color. My 84 Saddle interior has a Dark Saddle or if you dare - Brown dash. I also was not impressed with how large the holes had been...

I haven’t made the new purchase yet, maybe a month or two. That said, IF I'm leaving WA in about 3 months I'd be better off to wait until I'm gone. Registration here will cost a buttload with the sales tax, tags, etc. AND I'll just have to pay those costs again where I land. Also, if could have...

Transmission isn't up to the task with no lockup so it'll be trailered behind a u-haul... It's why I bought the Suburban originally, but there's only three of us to make the trip and I had too many trucks at 4. It's not set in stone yet, but a house at half the cost of WA with acreage and in...

Well, just sold both my "daily" drivers this week. My true daily the 2002 Silverado 4.8 4wd with 303k and the 1997 Suburban 7.4 4wd with 203k. I decided to pay off my high interest credit card debt and in a month or so get into another truck with a payment. It'll save me hundreds a month in...
