    Stalling Issue

Another thought. Could it be a vacuum advance issue? The distributor I put into it is am Accel 59130 It had a vacuum advance stop plate in the packaging which I didn't install. Should I have?? I haven't dialed in the timing yet either. The vacuum advance is hooked to the vacuum port on the...

    Stalling Issue

The little filters in the Holley carb were replaced with the rebuild. I also have an inline WIX fuel filter between the mechanical fuel pump and the carb. It has fresh gas in it and the filter looks clean. I used to have an 82 Chev C10 that had working AC.when I'd run the AC it seemed to act...

I am in the process of changing the gear oil in my truck. 1986 Chev K30 Crew Cab 14 Bolt Full Float Rear End When I took the cover off to drain the oil it was quite dirty. There was also a fair amount of metal shavings on the magnet in the base of the housing including a broken clip. I will...

    Fusible Link?

Yep the headlight switch was the first thing I checked and its operating as it should. As it turns out it was my fusible link near the starter. Replaced that and I'm back in business!

    Caliper rattles...help?

Hello, Continuing work on my 86 Chev k30 Crew Cab. Got it running (sort of lol) and took it around the block. Ran and shifted fine but had a horrible metal on metal knock which went away when brakes applied. Took off the front wheels and my passenger side caliper was loose and knocking on the...

    Fusible Link?

Now I'm left with these two wires that go to the starter along with the big battery cable. I'll replace the end of the smaller wire too likely. Does that need a fusible link too? So both of these wires need a fusible link?

    Fusible Link?

Good afternoon, I have no power to my headlight switch. I removed the switch and tested the contacts to make sure the switch is working properly and it is. Next I checked for constant 12v power at the red wire in the headlight switch harness and there is none. I disconnected the 3 wires from my...

    In your opinion?

Going through my recently purchased truck. I plan on getting the carb rebuilt as the truck sat for a number of years. Before I do tho I just want your opinion on whether it's a good carb for the setup? Truck: 1986 Chev K30 Crew Cab Originally a 6.2 Diesel swapped with a SBC 350 4 bolt main...

    Another Question!!

I think it was the two red wires that go to the post throwing me off. I thought an internally regulated alternator only had 1 red wire to the post
