Said goodbye to the splits and mudgrips
Could not throw them in the iron pile yet. Put them in the corner of the old barn where they will likely be for the next generation to wonder about and try and guess where they came from. I have a couple other trucks that still have splits on them but I am slowly gathering rims to retire those... -
What have you done to your square lately??
Been using her several times a week since the spring. Ole gal has pulled trailers, hauled fencing and limbs, pulled a tractor tire sandbox out of the yard, and is the go-to chore truck. I finally got the taillight wiring sorted out and last week put new tires on the back and retired the split... -

Dana 44 Flat Top Value
Fair price, I have seen them around here in the yards that know what they are for $250-$300. Just replaced the axle in our K20 and I paid $150 for a D44 that I stripped out and swapped my knuckles and hubs over on anyway so I could maintain the bigger hubs and flat top knuckles.- ebodell08

91 Nissan, need help.
Sounds like crappy fuel possibly? I bought one of those 5 yrs ago off of CL for $200, replaced the motor and donated it to a local rescue. I had a similar experience, mine turned out to be the disty. Far as I know it is still running around. They are decent little trucks.- ebodell08

Hello All, Thanks for the all the welcomes. Front axle is a Dana 44 with 4.10 gears. I plan on switching the knuckles over to keep the hubs. The axle is bent but the frame is still straight. It was an odd hit. Rims are original to the truck, they were ordered so the original owner could change...- ebodell08

Thanks you AyWoSch. Should have mentioned the year. It's a '73. Built in Feb of '73 actually. Early model as it has the dealer installed rain "gutters". 350/350 with 4.10 axles. Must have been one of the last trucks to be available with split rims, my '67 had them but I had never seen them on...- ebodell08

Hello, New member from Iowa. This is my first squarebody (though Dad had one in '82). I picked it up about 5 weeks ago. It has been sitting about 18 months or so in the pasture at the farm.
