Th350 shifts odd
I've dailyd my th350 for 6 months or so now pretty well, but have noticed something odd this week. Under slight acceleration, when it shifts into 2nd it feels like theres a drag somewhere in the driveline. Ive never had gears go out on me before so this feeling is foreign to me, if anyone knows...- Obwonkonobe

Redid brakes, drums dont fit
Im going to get it all squared away tomorrow and hopefully go for the first drive. When i installed the adjusters i tightened them all the way and cracked them loose, does anyone know if they will need further adjustment? Or have any good articles explaining further adjustment?- Obwonkonobe

Just got the drivers side to fit.. You guys were right about struts and springs, I got the spring and got them installed correctly. As for the fitment, it turns out their are different sized adjustment bits for the bottom, I had the larger type and they were pushing my shoes out, I put in am...- Obwonkonobe

The teeth need to face the arm, so it just put it back the way it was. Anyone ever heard of having to grind down the ridge? If not you're about to in the morning haha- Obwonkonobe

Here's what I have. Also at autozone they have multiple shoes available in different sizes. I'm pretty sure I have 2x11 brakes from my measurements, but if anyone knows what the brake options were on a stock 78 half ton short bed, chime on in- Obwonkonobe

Yup the adjusters are all the way in, i used a pretty nice rebuild kit that came with new ones. It all looks right hah Im starting to think that because im reusing old drums, I have a ridge built up on the outer edge, i ca, feel it with my finger. Im gonna take a flap disk to it tomorrow and...- Obwonkonobe

I just rebuilt my rear drums with new shoes and springs, and I reused my drums. Now when I go to put the drum on, the shoes won't fit inside it, any thoughts. I measured across my shoes and theyre 2 inches thick- Obwonkonobe

Dang that's really nice, il probably just take the old ones to ace and grab some that match. Whike i have them off im probably going to clean and paint everything and have heard about spring paint that flexes with the spring, is that legit? Or just a gimmic- Obwonkonobe

Good advice thank you, would it just be a matter of bolting and unbolting or would I need to buy/fab new parts. I have a oxy torch and welder but im not sure if I trust myself to fab anything that critical- Obwonkonobe

What's recommended as far as taking leafs out? The most I ever haul is atvs or just more truck parts, nothing serious, could I take out a couple leafs so it doesn't clatter like a solid piece going over speed bumps?- Obwonkonobe
