    Accumulator question

my system is the stock 1984 AC system. I’m in the processes of connecting the R6 compressor up. (I know, I know, but it was on the engine I bought and was told it was running fine). So new hoses and accumulator. I see that there was a change in 85. The parts store gave me one for an 85+. Since...

    Fuel line

I’m not. I’ve decided to wrap the headers and maybe try to wrap the fuel line because, why the F not? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This ethanol bs in 100° Texas heat is killing me.

    AC, finally

edit: This is a newer compressor that came with the engine. I was told it it was working and it there was clean new oil coming out of the compressor when I was putting the engine back in. but its a TBI engine and brackets. So its on the "other" side of the vehicle. So Im not really worried...

    Center bolt valve cover question

Ummm. I was trying to see if I could find some type of breather, but like mentioned, it’s a smaller hole. I thought about a second pcv valve, but that also is too big. Maybe I need to hit the yard and see if I can find that tube and modify it for a breather. Thanks for the help.

    Center bolt valve cover question

the passenger sides has a pcv valve, which I have connected to the carb. The drivers side has a hole smaller than a pvc grommet. Is there a spec breather that fits it?

    Where to purchase filler hose?

I’m going to let you know, since I just replaced my tank, AZ, Advanced Auto, Napa, nor O’Rileys carries or could order the filler neck for an 84.

    Fuel line

Hard to see in this pic, but if you work from the carb, it’s rubber line, gauge, rubber line, stupid plastic filter that needs to be removed, rubber line that runs behind the AC compressor and goes to where the original rub line went to the fuel pump from the metal line that runs down the...

    Fuel line

No return line. 4.5 psi steady. All day, everyday.

    Fuel line

Yeah. I was wondering about running some type of metal line from the qjet to where the metal fuel line would, what I assume, would have been rubber to the fuel pump. Would it be worth it to get the OE tubing from the carb to the *fuel pump* and then run rubber from that tube to the frame rail...

    Fuel line

i am now running an 87/88 tbi block. I have a P4070 fuel pump on the passenger frame rail. Where the stock metal line would go to the mechanics pump goes, I have a 3/8 rubber line that goes to a clear plastic filter and a fuel pressure gauge and then to a fitting to my qjet. I can actually...

    Lost spark

Hey, Im going to bring this one back from being luke warm, not yet dead. I have been fighting the problem where I thought that it was a fuel issue. But last night I know for sure was a spark issue. Im leading to the ICM now. Long story short, in the middle of trying to figure out every single...

    Carb and vacuum line problems

Just an FYI. I run a Q-jet and have ZERO emissions. The vacuum advance, HVAC, choke, PCV, and TCC switch are all that I have hooked up to the carb.

Pulling drive train, should I remove the front clip?

I just pulled and rebuilt my engine and transmission. I did mine in the garage. I had help pulling the hood. I know you said you were doing yours outside which, just pulling the hood, you need to with standard garage ceilings. We ended up pushing the truck outside because there wasnt enough...

    fan clutch bolt pattern

#YOLO Im going to make the holes a little bigger. The water pump shaft is tight to the fan clutch, so it will be centered. Thanks for the info, I just wanted to make sure I wasnt being an idiot.

    fan clutch bolt pattern

I know there are two different bolt patterns. My fan clutch has both the small and large ones. I am putting an 87 or 88 engine and the engine before was a 73. Was their a third bolt pattern from water pump to fan clutch? My fan clutch doesnt like the small or large bolt patterns and before I...

    84 C10 Body Questions

You can find dimmable LED's so your dimmer will work. They cost a little bit more. Also 168 and 194 bulbs are basically the same. The difference is 2 watts or 3 watts when using normal bulbs. When you are talking about LED's, there are no differences. (just in case you or anyone else was...

    700r4 wiring

In case anyone else needs it. I knew the circuit was pretty simple. Aftermarket kits seem to make it complicated. I hate manual toggle switches. The lockup conduit has 3 wires and unless you have a computer controlled truck or EGR bleed, then you dont need the third wire. In the 1984 wiring...

    700r4 wiring

the pic below is the wiring that I pulled off of my truck. Come to find out, my 84, had a '73 smog engine in it with some mods. The transmission by the RPO is supposed to be a 350 and Im assuming lock up as it has the low vacuum switch in the correct location. But check out the wiring below. I...
