I have put in 3. One in a 60's GMC pickup that turned out real well. 2 in squarebody suburbans. They didn't turn out as well. The MIP didn't seem molded as well as the pickup...but they do the job.
Mine were from "action carpet" or similar. I bet they are all made in the same plant.

the local salvage yard has a squarebody suburban with an overhead console. It is wooden, and runs from right behind the rear view mirror back to the second row seats. IIRC it has map lights for both rows of seats. I've seen these in conversions - pretty sure it is aftermarket back in the day...
I have a '87 suburban with bench front and 60/40 rear seat. I'd like to get seat covers for it. Would like to have canvas/cordura material that fully covers the back of the seat.
any recommendations?

nice work! Have you built overhead consoles? Any photos? Ive thought about building one for my suburban either like the "shelf it" (vertically driven products) that goes above the visors, or center of the roof with map lights, space for CB, etc...
I have a 84 2wd body (low hump) on 4wd suburban frame. PO used a 3"body lift to mount it up.
I'm grafting a high hump in the place of the low hump. Found a donor cab, cut out most of the floor and hump. The contours on the each floor matched up well. cut out the low hump and am welding the high...
