    I'm not sure there is a really "good" way to do an inline gauge. I ordered the RVMorse adapter...don't waste your time. There is no way to bend the factory line to fit right. Even to get the line screwed into the adapter, I had to start putting a little bit of kink into it, and I can't bolt up...

    If you are going to do a TBI swap, buy tanks for an 87'. They have internal baffles to keep the fuel pump supplied under low fuel/cornering conditions, since there is no float bowl to cover temporary losses of fuel like in a carburetor.

    Sounds good and easy until your rubber line chafes on something, wears through, squirts all your trans fluid out, burns up your trans, and sets your truck on fire. That's a worst case scenario, of course, but definitely NOT recommended to run all rubber lines for anything, generally speaking.

    Thanks man! I actually used an old wire coat hanger and bent it up for each section, then bent my line to match the coat hanger. It worked out pretty well. Thanks! I don't have the part number off hand, I just grabbed them out of the bucket at the Parker store. They are 90* -6AN/JIC bulkhead...

    You'll need the entire front clip with core support, the wiper linkage and wiper posts (73-80 have the cowl as part of the hood, so the wiper posts are different than later squares with the separate cowl). You'll also want the "anti-decapitators". They are little button head brackets that lock...

    Best bet to keep it all factory GM is to find an 87' pickup with TBI and pull the selector valve and full wiring harness to the dash switch. That's what I did when I converted my 84' to TBI.

    They are loaded into TunerPRoRT so it knows how to read the data coming from the ECM.

    Yep, that's correct. The module gets power from the USB connection, so you just need ground and TX/RX to the ALDL port.

    IIRC means "If I Recall Correctly". I use TunerProRT for my diagnostics. You can get the definition files from http://www.gearhead-efi.com. You can find instructions on making a cheap diagnostic cable below (or order one from Robert if he still sells them). I followed these instructions...

    Heavy half wasn't required for the HD rotors. I'm not sure what package they came with though. My 87' half ton had them, but my 84' has 1" rotors.

    Not necessarily! This is a 67-72, but the idea is there. Oh, and yes, it's a 4.8L LS, so it really is 292 cubic inches. :D

    You have to use the A/C and vent position control to shut off the fan. Moving it all the way to the left shuts it off, except on the mid 70's trucks that ran it all the time for cabin ventilation. It's possible that may be the case on your 79'.
