    Stepside bed score!

Damn good score especially for a 73-80 bed. FWIW, I never used the dual tanks on my 82, I never totally trusted the switch valve and didn't want to have to turn the truck around at the pump to fill the other tank. I actually was planning on removing it. Hell new trucks only have 21 gal tanks...

    86 C10 wheel specs

3.75in bs will be fine as long as you dont lower the truck too much with wider tires. The wheels will just move outward .5in over stock rallys

    86 C10 wheel specs

I would go with the 15x8 with 4in bs. They were that size from the factory and you would have the option for a little bit larger tires later.

    C10 drop spring question

From your pic in the other thread it "looks" to me like you got a full 3in of drop despite having a 6. The springs being loose at full drop isn't a big deal, you just need to know to check the position of them before you let it back down. The white truck below was my first square back in high...

    86 C10 wheel specs

No, they would work fine as well but you will probably only find them with 4in of bs which is perfectly fine.

    Sagging leaf replacement

This is a prime example of why a spring drop of more than 2in-2.5in is not recommended. 95% of the time 3in of spring drop doesn't leave enough bolt to set the camber as well as the coil spring will usually fall over in the spring pocket whenever you lift the truck of the ground. Putting in...

    86 C10 wheel specs

You can use the 3.75in bs on the 15x7 rim with no problem.

    86 C10 wheel specs

Those will fit your truck and tire size. The actual wheel size in 86 was 15x8 rally wheel with 5x5 bolt pattern and 4.25in back space with 235/75/15 tire. Base models had 15x6 with 205,215, or 225/75/15 tires.

    Lower control arms?

Send them back and get the correct lower control arms. Don't compromise your and your families safety by modifying the wrong part to fit when the correct parts are available.

    leaf spring help needed

What condition are your shocks in? You can get some 52in leaf springs, all you have to do is move your rear shackle hangers forward 4in to the next set of pre drilled holes in the frame and bolt them in with 3/8 x 1in grade 8 bolts.
  17. J Knight

Just a 2" drop in the rear

To add to the pic, smoothandlow84 has the 56in leafs, if you have the 52in leafs the shackle will be directly below the bed brace. You will need to cut it the same as the pic but just a bit wider.

    Lights

Start with the simple stuff, check the fuses, unplug the bed harness from the frame harness at the end of the left frame rail and check for power with a test light.

    Rally wheel resto

Rally wheels are so cheap, I think I would replace the one or two badly pitted wheels, the one pictured would probably leak.

    Looking to lower my c10

^^^What he said^^^ On the spindles, just measure the width/thickness of the rotor at the edge, you might be able to do it with the wheel on.

    Belltech 4/6 installed

Looks great. From what i have seen often over the years is that 1in drop spring dont give you much or any drop and 2in drop springs give you 1in drop. Not sure why. Im not crazy about cutting springs more or less than one complete round because of the way it sits in the pockets. But if it...
