That may not be the case on crate engines.... Mine is definitely not original, as it is a 1 piece rear main seal in a 1984 C10.- Ronno6

I have pulled the 305 out of my 84 C10, and have the casting # It is: 10048164 OR 10046164 So far, in my web search , I have found a grand total of 1 reference to that #, from a G-body owner who was seeking the same info on his block that I seek on mine. He received no replies. I'm hoping y'all...- Ronno6

There are 3 CAPA certified manufacturers of 81-87 fenders, 2 in Taiwan, 1 in China, but I have not been able to find out who distributes them in the States. I will give mine a good once over to see if I can fix the rust and dents before I get too serious about replacing them. As indicated... -

Both Summit and Jegs are very high on AMD stuff. ZERO returns (if they can be believed..) Starting to sound like that is the say to go........... I will talk to my body man about them,tho. -

I did pick up my brand spanky new radiator support yesterday. From the listing, I believed it to be genuine GM...it was not. It IS, however, CAPA certified, and I purchased it for less than the $$$ of shipping a new one! -

Huntsville is a right fer piece form me, but might bear checking out. I will ask a body shop or 2 about preferred fender sources. Any opinions on Sherman fenders?? They claim to be OEM quality and are affordable. Their 899-31L and R fenders are a bit pricey list price, but available right... -
