    Maple For Truck Bed

Well, thicker planks would sit hither than the angles at the walls of the bed. The strips between boards would only sit as low as the depth I to which machined the edges..... I would just need longer screws....

    Maple For Truck Bed

Mr. Aaron, Thanks for that. What I thought to be maple turned out to be cedar anyway. Seems to me that I have seen some rough sawn cypress from sunken logs on FB somewhere. I have a planer, so rough is no problem. I have some red grandis' which is a eucalyptus that would work really well, but it...

Now that I (finally) got my fast idle solenoid mounted (3rd try on the bracket) I an searching for a switched power source under the hood. Radiator recommendations

Original, yes for the 305 that came stock. Dunno if it would handle a higher compression 355... I purchased a 3 row Champion all aluminum w/ electric fans.

    Radiator recommendations

Now that my 1984 C10 is about to head to the body shop, the radiator is leaking. I figured I'd need to replace it sooner or later...........looks like sooner. Engine is 355 Carbureated, 10.1:1 compression, aluminum heads and intake. A/C Manual tranny Currently engine mounted fan, but electric...

    Single glass side window/Wing delete

I've been considering that myself as my vent windows and window glass tracks need some serious work. I will have to see how my finances are after the body shop gets done with me. Nice color, BTW

    Who Knew???

Things my father never told me........ One of the largest hurdles in my resto of my 84 C-10 would be.............vent windows!! New replacements are few and far between, especially the driver's side. Those that ARE available will require a second mortgage on my house. Used ones equally scarce...

Door Latch Linkage Clip Release Hack

I have found an interesting hack to disengage the retaining clip for the outside door handle linkage. Take a bicycle spoke and bend the end with the head into a J-shape (well, actually a U shape with 1 short leg). The head diameter of the spoke is just the right size to fit into the hole where...

    Hard accelerator pedal

It is no big deal.....unless you have a 4 speed.....a balky throttle when releasing the clutch makes you look like a noob to stick shift...........

    Hard accelerator pedal

BTW....My carb was an Edelbrock,too........and there are no bushing kits for the base plate.........

    Hard accelerator pedal

Does the pedal act the same whether the engine is running or not? When the throttle plates are closed, a running engine's demand for air exerts significant side load on the butterflies, making off-idle movement difficult. If that is the case, wear between the throttle shafts and the throttle...

    Painlesswiring, American Autowire, or ??????

I am contemplating a total wiring replacement for my '84 C10. Painless is less so than AA, but they both command a hefty sum. American Autowire seems to have a more complete harness, but I have read that much adjusting is required...wire lengths, termination, etc. My son-in-law sells aftermarket...
