    Replaced spider gears, new crush sleeve, and pinion seal. Got rid of backlash and clunky gear engage. Pinion nut was backing off.

    Try replacing those spider gears. Don’t have to take the pinion out for that. Maybe you can save the gear oil you just put in.

    I had the same issue. Ton of slop in the driveline. Do you have play in your driveshaft? Try grabbing the drive shaft near the pinion and wiggle it. My spider gears were a little worn, but my main issue was the pinion nut came loose and was backing off. Replaced the spider gears (50$), checked...

    OEM Fan for 5.7 k10?

    My 85 k10 5.7 currently has a flex fan and it’s insanely loud and I’m sure it’s stealing a little power. Wanting to see what yalls stock fan shape is. I don’t have a/c but will be wanting to add it back. Not sure if that makes a difference. I’ve see 3 blade and 5 blades. Thanks!

    I was air traffic control and in Columbus, MS all 6 years. Kind of the black hole if ya ask me. Only way to get out of there was to head to Korea first. They never gave me that option.
