    Battle with rust

Hello everyone. I've never done body work and normally just roll with the rust. In Colorado these squares don't get crazy rotted out like other places, but they do usually develop rust in the typical spots. My 1982 K20 is no exception. Cab corners on both sides, passenger rocker and both bed...

HELP! Keep it stock or go a little aftermarket

@Craig 85 I had a question. The plug that goes into the back of the tcs solenoid, mine had a piece of something on the old solenoid that disintegrated when I touched it. What's on yours?

HELP! Keep it stock or go a little aftermarket

Installed the new parts except the tvs that goes into manifold. The whole in the edelbrock manifold is bigger than the part I ordered. I'm gonna see if they have another part or maybe I'll get an adapter. I hooked everything up the way it shows on my air cleaner diagram. @Craig 85 you said to...

HELP! Keep it stock or go a little aftermarket

I totally thought about that. Can I use calipers to measure the nipples or is there a better way? I'm sure the nipples are a little bigger to get a good fit.

HELP! Keep it stock or go a little aftermarket

@Craig 85 Well, I ordered a pvs off of rock auto. I hope its the right one. I'm going to get a new heater hose and put it to the water pump and put the pvs in the intake manifold. I ordered the one that goes in air cleaner too. Also a new TCS from the parts place. Once everything gets here I'll...

HELP! Keep it stock or go a little aftermarket

@Craig 85 so I'm having a hard time finding where this efe is supposed to plug into. I've got a random hose not hooked up to anything off that brown port on the air cleaner. Is that where it goes? There isn't any other ports near the thermostat. And the broken brown one, what plugs into the...

Thanks everyone. It's a really nice truck and emission/smog testing or not you've all helped me decide to keep it original.

HELP! Keep it stock or go a little aftermarket

I'll check the thermostat vacuum. Once the truck warms up its tits. I'm beginning to think restoring any nonfunctional/ missing factory components is the way to go. It runs very well, I'm just a power whore, lol. I guess I can drive my '13 Ram sport if I want to go fast. I definitely want to...

HELP! Keep it stock or go a little aftermarket

And when put it drive and give it gas it wants to die at just idle to about 1/4 throttle it just died on me. Starts right back up. Then you have to push passed the dead spot in the throttle and it bogs for a second then shoots forward. It didn't do it with the timing advanced.

HELP! Keep it stock or go a little aftermarket

When I got it, it was pinging so bad. It was at 40 deg advanced. The sticker on the air cleaner says 4 deg, I put it at 6-8 deg. It runs better but has trouble starting when cold. Usually takes 3 cranks and 5 pumps on the accelerator. Maybe it's that heat riser....
