    Carb to TBI

Also I don't know a thing about early ECMs. Are they custom to the truck they are in or plug and play? I was afraid the ECM in the C20 (I dont know what tranny is in it yet) wouldn't work in my K10. I dont know what PROMs are haha. I'm a novice with only a basic mechanical understanding :)

    Carb to TBI

*Bringing this back alive :) My 85 K10 has been dead in the drive way since november now. Rings are....gone probably lol and i don't have a garage or anywhere indoors to work on her. My original plan was to pull a 350 out of a 1987 C20. Claimed to have been rebuilt with under 10k miles on...

She ain't happy with me. Spitting oil out.

I have a breather and oil fill tube on the passenger side and just the pcv on the driver side. I'll try this with some cheap sae 40

She ain't happy with me. Spitting oil out.

Ok im not that versed in downdraft tubes, neither is my friend. I know the concept is that driving down the road causes a vacuum effect across the bottom open end of the tube. Now are you recommending replacing my PCV valve with a downdraft tube or replacing my breather with a downdraft tube...

She ain't happy with me. Spitting oil out.

I'm not getting any smoke from the tail pipe. Its all coming from where oil is running out onto the exhaust manifold. And would I put a down draft tube on both vavle covers or just one side

Anyone else like to add? Would this work? Or thicker oil? Or what. I refuse to rebuild this motor when I'm putting in a different one later

To my knowledge downdraft tubes are a diesel thing.... I've only ever seen them used in that aspect.

She ain't happy with me. Spitting oil out.

the 350 is in an 87 k20 still. I want to pull it to a stand so i can clean it up and paint it. It was recently rebuilt by GM with only 3000 miles on it. I also want to switch the intake so i can run it carberated. I don't feel like running all the wires and sensors for TBI. and i'm not in the...

She ain't happy with me. Spitting oil out.

Well as some of you know my 85 k10 hasn't been the easiest rebuild. Especially with not having access to a good amount of tools. History: has a 305 in it. Rings are most likely shot. No crankcase ventilation, as in i have positive pressure at the breather instead of negative. good vacuum at...

Vacuum to Hydro...Can someone write guide?

I actually am about to swap the front axle to the 3/4 ton. Can I switch to the round banjo calipers now while I still have a jb6 system? I know I would need new hoses but will the 8+k gvw hoses direct fit with the current hard lines? The steel brake are mainly what I'm asking about for this...

Vacuum to Hydro...Can someone write guide?

So I'm planning out long term things while i save money for more parts and projects. I'd like to upgrade to hydroboost eventually. My current 305 has horrible vacuum so my brakes suck. I'm replacing it with a rebuilt 350 so that will help some. But i'm also planning on doing the serpentine belt...

    Speedo gear change

How simple is it to do this? Does this require pulling apart the transfer case? I just swapped to 4.10s and need to fix the speedo. I have a 700r4 with np208. 33" tires

the always repeated fuel sending unit question

Ok so I hate to bring up old threads but I'm still tackling this. I have verified that the sending unit is good. Good ground and everything there. The reading I'm getting from the female pins on the dash are off. So I'm going to assume the gauge is good just getting the wrong reading sent to it...
