I could attempt to salvage this one. Only the yellow wire is short. But I maybe able to get a crimp on it if need be. But Id rather just install a new sealed plug- usar17

No. The aftermarket tow harness just plugs in between the front and rear harnesses. No splicing. Hopefully I can find a replacement connector locally. Or a new set of 4 pin connectors to wire in- usar17

look what I found Haha. Its the harness for the long run to the rest of the truck. I couldn't find any issues with the rear harness that goes to each lamp assembly. So I took they wrap off the main harness and found the wires falling apart. Guess I need to find a new harness to wire in- usar17

Pg 152 is mine. I found the ground behind the driver side lamp assembly. Everything seems Ok tho....I'm gonna cut the 3 LED marker bar and see wat happens- usar17

I do have a tow harness. I disconnected the harness and using a volt meter on the plug coming from the front of the truck I'm only getting 9v on the brown wire- usar17

Ok seems like I have power at the rear plug. Gonna check bulbs....any suggestions on locations for issues in the back end of the wiring?- usar17

This is the closet thread to my issue. I have no rear running lights. Everything else works. T/L CTSY fuse looks good (im gonna try a new one just to be safe). Where all could the issues be? I think I read somewhere about grounds coming off? is that pertinent to this?- usar17

I see what you're saying. The Switch would be open preventing back feed, and the gear selector uses the neutral safety switch to activate the reverse lights correct? so the attached diagram should be ok then?- usar17
