    Oil Pressure Gauge Issues...

    If I remember right, to ck if the elec oil pressur gage is good, turn key on and touch tan /or gray wire to ground and if good ,needle Will go to "0". Gauge should work with oil sending unit , which is connected to engine block above oil filter area.

    Are you sure you have dizzy all the way down. If not you are Grinding tooth against tooth. That could be your grinding problem. Otherwise, the only other grinding could be the dizzy rotor is Hitting the inside of the cap. Ck for that.

    When you were ck ing tdc with the stick, you said the stick was Starting back down. If that's the case, then you are checking 15degrees after top dead center. Also I don't think you are on #1 Exactly. Try again.

    Jacob, if I remember right, to check if gage is ok, turn key on, Have someone watch gage while you crawl under truck. Take tan Wire and touch to engine for ground. If gage is good, needle Should go left to "O".

    Still have my craftsman tool box that came with a 1/4" drive socket set, and a 1/2" drive socket set, that I bought new in 1958. Just got married then and wife said we couldn't Afford them. But, I needed them. We're still married. Still have orig tool box and both Sets are still complete.

    Is the end of the arm , that is actuated by the cam , rough or chewed up? If it is , then cam is your problem.

    Let's debate it ...oil pumps

    I agree with blue ox wholehardily. I never read anything about Drain holes being checked. These holes have been factory drilled. Can't remember, but they are 5/16 or 3/8" dia. Had a 350 van Years ago that had a head gasket that was partially covering The drain hole, causing oil to back up...

    wifes car's steering wheel has partial diameter in plastic that is clear coated. Trouble is it is Starting to peel off and raising up. I need to get clear off, but don't want to harm plastic Itself. PITA? Need suggestions. Thanks.

    have after market aluminum wheels. Need to remove clear coat. Question is: which is better? Aircraft quality Paint remover or oven cleaner or ???. Want to put a nice polish on them. Don't want to put clear Coat back on . What's best to maintain them after?

    Truck just quit on me

    Sounds like maybe the 12 v power wire from the fuse block to the dist may be the culprit. Make new one from 10 ga. Wire and try. That elec stuff will drive you crazy. It does me. Oh, also make sure the ign fuse is pushed in tight . Stranger Things have happened before. Good luck.

    Truck just quit on me

    It sounds to me you have a few plug wires crossed. Either at Distributor or spark plugs. Probably happened when you Replaced module. As a note, mine quit running 3 weeks ago and it was the module. If you have gas, spark and compression It has to run , unless timing is off. ( caused by above )
