    Squishy brakes

Ricko1966, You should have let it go back in the thread on post #14 like you said you were going to do. IMO you started out in a bad mood. I hope you get over it soon.

    Fuel Tank Selector Valve Shield

Long time since this was written but I am just now working on installing a second fuel tank in my M1010. Here are pictures of the cover and location for future reference. My cover was bolted on with the chassis threaded, no nuts at all and easy to get to. Looks like the two holes in the top...

    Will this work with 35s?

Just saw this. Sorry. Yes, longer studs on the front but the back worked fine. I had to put new studs in the front anyway because of the rotor location change.

    Dual fuel tank filling

Yesterday Sam's was at $2.95.....local station was $3.45.....I'm not sure it's legal to carry a 55 gal drum of gas inside a M1010. I certainly would not want to be in a wreck with one in there.

    Dual fuel tank filling

I want to install a dual tank in my truck but don't like the idea of filling both from one port because I want to be able to carry diesel in one tank and gas in the other. I am about 25 miles from Sams and don't go that way often enough to fill up the cars but I could bring home gas in the...

Help with ignition lock removal - 1984 M1010

Thanks for the info. I almost pulled that but was afraid to do damage. I did watch a video where they just grabbed it with a pair of needle nose pliers and pulled it out so I will certainly try that. I figured there were wires connected to the back of it. The truck is about 50 miles away so...

Help with ignition lock removal - 1984 M1010

Good evening, I am having an issue with my ignition lock removal. The vehicle is a 1984 M1010 (Military Ambulance). All military trucks are keyed alike so in the interest of security I am trying to change out the ignition key lock and door locks. I have done this before on a M1009 (Military...

Question on where to get a 6.2 fuel line feeding the lift pump?

I think I have a leak in the supply hose just before the lift pump on my 1984 K30 with a diesel 6.2 engine. It is molded and I can't find one anywhere. Any ideas?

    Will this work with 35s?

My 91 Suburban is running 17x8.5 Method MR701 wheels and Nitto Terra Grappler G2 - LT285-75R tires....34" tall and about 11" wide and I have not had any rubbing after tapping in the back of the front fenders with a hammer very lightly. I don't run it off road but it is a daily driver. The...

    Method 701 milled aluminium rims

I have three kids and get lost in their world if something is not broken. Here's more info on the wheels and brakes even if it is late. The wheels I put on were Method 17x8.5 MR701 +0 offset with 6x5.5 lug spacing. These will not fit a stock suburban without wheel spacing out about 1/2" or...

Old dual tank location, what do do with space?

I have a suburban with the 41 gallon tank in the rear and have thought I wanted to put two saddle tanks on the sides for more distance and possibility or bringing diesel or gas home for other vehicles or the tractor. The ability to pump it out, pump it into a different tank or use a different...

    Method 701 milled aluminium rims

The tie rod end hit the inside of the wheel. Of course the dealer said they fit even thought they did not. I was also in the process of changing the brakes and could tell that that would fix it so I dropped it with the wheel dealer. When putting Hummer brakes on the axle the rotor was removed...

What about putting your Suburban body on a M35 frame? That would be the easiest thing to do and probably cheapest too...?
