    Thank you for the pictures! While the intake was off I looked and they seemed to be fine nothing too alarming. I got a new intake and sealed all up and I finally got it running right and timed. It’s sounding great! I’m really excited and appreciate everyone who helped me get it done thanks...

    I’m surprised it even fired off. Funny thing is that when I first fired the truck it was back firing and shooting fireballs out the carb. And I was like wtf it has to be 180 deg out so I ended up bring it to comp stroke Tdc probably 3 different times checked then rechecked my plug wires. Idk how...

    What I did was set my gasket on the head and was like hell that looks good. And didn’t think twice to check on the intake. I feel so stupid.

    Here is for learning purposes for anyone doing a new build. First don’t trust parts stores check then double check. Then triple check and that’s all I got now here is for another good laugh

    Ok guys ordered the new intake it will be here tomorrow. The intake was definitely my problem it was leaking on almost every one lol take a look for a good laugh. I definitely won’t make this mistake again

    Ya I think I’m gonna go that direction. I called and they are gonna take that Holley back almost a year later lol because I do so much business with them. I am just gonna go with the oval port performer Edlebrock. And the mr gasket. Super seal Gaskets. I’ll keep you all updated on the process

    Hey thank you I really appreciate it. And your absolutely right about attention to detail and being meticulous. It’s something I’m learning…(the hardway) but I’m learning. This is my first full build and I’m so thankful for guys like you to help me when I am stuck.

    The Holley high rise was a good price and I thought it was the right fit now I’m questioning myself.. should I just get an Edlebrock performer? It’s a kick in the nuts cause it was not cheap

    Well I have found my issue thought it was revving from the carb base but it was pulling through my intake so idk what I did wrong but I get to take all my hard work apart and re do it all…I do it nice cause I do it twice

    Ok so I did as one guy posted and turned it on and started spraying starter fluid in suspected areas. I.e base of carb. And sure enough it revved twice both back corners. I’ll see what I can come up with after I fix that
