    Front end lowered problem

Hmmm. In all the years of lowering truck and cars, I have never heard that issue before using oem control arms. My 84 is bagged, lays out the engine cross member and I have the oem arms without any issues. If you have tube upper arms and oem lowers, that may explain why you already have cleanace...

    Front end lowered problem

The geometry of the upper and or lower control arms might be an issue if not made to specs. If aligned and still not corrected something might be not made correctly. I have had issue before on builds uaing replacement tubular arms. Who manufactured the arms? Why did you opt to replace the arms...

    Front end lowered problem

Too much positive camber and your wheels offset may be too much. What size tires ? With that much front end drop back when my 84 was static dropped 5 front, 7 rear....I had 285x45r20 tires without contact unless full compression of the suspension cycle. You can expect problems with inner fender...

    Narrower dually axle

If it was my personal project, I would keep it simple and just source wider fenders. I think that by narrowing the rear axle you may be opeing a huge can of worms. But hey, thats just my opinion.

Switching to a shared reservoir brake master cylinder

Just run smaller diameter brake lines to the rear. Smaller lines = higher pressure, having more fluid capacity wont necessarily help add power to the rear brakes. Fine tune the proportioning valve....install an aftermarket adjustable unit. Having two seperate resevoirs makes more sense in case...

C20 Crew Cab Lowering Kit - Advise / Experience?

Ditch the front inner fenders. You could easily make your own or fabricate some out of trailer fenders. Buy one fender, cut it in half....and now you have two!

    Narrower dually axle

I dont think that you would have to narrow the rear axle in order to "tuck" the rear tires in the fenders. Factory fenders should acccomodate the with of the axle with tires. The offest of the alcoas are the bigger question. If the offset isnt working for you, it may be a better option to...

1975 GMC Dually C35 Camper Special 454 Sierra

X2 with the haggerty or other collectible auto insurance. Most non collectible auto insurance go by the year and do not give you the true value of the vehicle. Old vehicle doesn’t mean easy and cheap to replace imo.

C20 Crew Cab Lowering Kit - Advise / Experience?

At this point, it would have been easier to bag the truck front and rear, then to go through what you did with Summit.

    turbo 400 to 700r4 swap......should i do it?

I have a built 700r4 mated to my 350 small block in my square and I dont have any complaints, especially on the highway...85 mph and 1900 rpm in o.d. It sips fuel when cruising in o.d., and when I mash the pedal it breaks the tires loose. My transmission guru installed corvette goodies into it...

    Truck just quit on me

Thats what mine was doing. Its a pita to get to the switch, but its one of the many "weat items" that few people even think to replace after years of service. Its a plastic housing with copper contacts. It a rudimentary design, but probably high tech in the 80's lol. I hope this solves your issue.

    Battery to Starter Cable routing

X2...same here. I also have some rubber coated clips that attach to the side of the oil pan.

    What part is this?

The oem plastic resevoir tank is usually mounted to the inner drivers side front fender on the fenderwell tub

    Truck just quit on me

X2.... Thats what my 87 does. If you dont have lights when the key is turned to the acc position, then something electrical isnt connecting in your column. It may also,be your ignition switch is arcing. With years of use, the copper contacts become worn and will arc from time to time. I had...

73-87 WINDSHEILD SEAL - DELUXE, Cheap or expensive? does it matter

Brothers is expensive...period. Chrome locking tab option is a few buck more than black regardless of where you purchase from. When I had safelite replace my windshield, the gasket with the chrome tab was $15 I went with the unit safelite provided since they warrantied the work against wind...

Dumb, no stupid things PO's have done to you

And....I have even heard a story of brothers who were out frog giggin and blew a fuse. One of the brothers had the brilliant idea to use a loose round in place of the fuse. When they arrived home, the drive was hit in the ankle when the round went off inside the cab. When their mother saw the...

    Do I need both batteries?

Don't forget diesels have glow plugs and not spark plugs. Along with high compression, both batteries are a must in order to ignite the glow plugs AND crank the motor.

Dumb, no stupid things PO's have done to you

Lmao...I have heard stories of people using 22 cal long rifle rounds (live rounds) in place of the old style round buss fuses.

Dumb, no stupid things PO's have done to you

Let's see...the p.o. used wire nuts and solid copper wiring under the dash. He also thought it was a great idea to cut multiple holes in the lid, yes I said lid of the air filter housing...WTF ??? The transmission, I was told shifted fine. I literally drove the truck about 50 miles, then...

Truck studders / cuts out while accelerating

Partially clogged fuel filters can cause hesitation and or studdering as well. Since you opened up and messed with the fuel system it is also possibke something came loose or lodged into the in tank filter. There is a rubber hose connection on the in tank filter that comes loose and causes issues
