    How to clean gas tanks

I filled my old tank with a handfull of bb's. I then poured a gallon of white vinegar, shook the tank vigourously for mins, dumped, refilled and repeated the process. After the loose crap was flushed out with fresh gas, I let it dry overnight. Any residual sediment was trapped by the $10 inline...

They rust and flake in the rust belt states, not so much here in the dry SouthWest.

About how much needs to be added after new trans install?

Check transmission fluid level when warm. The dipstick will indicate the level. Shift trans from park to drive to reverse...check level on dipstick. Add fluid until dipstick reads full

    Waco revisited

....so you are condeming the fact that Karesh was a child molester among other things. He got what he deserved. Yes the "followers" had the right to defend themselves, but Karesh is also the reason they got themselves into that position in the first place. lmao...yep...youre right. Our...

    engine dress up

The radiator hoses are flexible stainless steel. There are several suppliers online and at Jegs and Summit. Google a search for flexible coolant hose. My heater hoses are the same material. The hoses come with a variety of silicone adapters that slide over the radiator inlet and outlet. The...

    Waco revisited

Who cares. The guy was a sociopathic cult leader who enjoyed manipulating young girls and weak minded adults. It certainly has nothing to do with squares. The only reason the article mentions Karesh is to drive the price uo for the car. They didnt need to do this, but they did for their own...

    Off-roading Shocks

They arent cheap...that's for sure. Having them tuned and custom valved (I also had a secondary spring swapped)... $2500

    engine dress up

I didn't go crazy with the valve covers, but I am still looking for a non scripted chrome intake, even though I use alwaysbroke components.

    Off-roading Shocks

I have custom valved and tuned Fox shocks on my rzr as well. Tuned correctly for the terrain and type of application, they have never let me down. I have also had King on several vehicles including our Rhino and other than the sticker shock of them, they were also fantastic.

    Off-roading Shocks

I disagree . Are you seriously trying to compare those p.o.s shocks to Fox or King? Thats funny.....truly funny. They aren't even close to being in the same league.

Stock shocks...yeah they will fade quickly under those circumstances.

    Power windows slow

Someone on this forum did a relay modification for the power windows. As built by GM, there isn't a full and constant 12 volts going to the window motors. The addition of relays to the existing circuit boosts the power and speeds up the motors to their full potential. Maybe they will chime in...

Firewall cleanup & paint prep, any tips?

Have you also considered covering up the existing firewall to smooth it out with panels? It is a lot more work, but it can be done with templates and some patience.

Switching to a shared reservoir brake master cylinder

I agree. With my disc brake conversion on my 64 c10, I also opted to run seperate circuits from the proportioning valve body to each front brake and the usual single line for the rear brakes. The proportioning valve on most vehicles only offers one circuit for front and rear, but my setup was an...

Switching to a shared reservoir brake master cylinder

I think you are off to a good start. A high quality adjustable proportioning valve is the key. I personally prefer my brakes to be 70 percent front, 30 percent rear when disc/disc for daily drivers. On a road couse, depending on how many turns and the average degree of each turn......and the...

Switching to a shared reservoir brake master cylinder

Maybe I am not fully understanding your statement here......... Actually, speed, weight and velocity all effect brake system components. The more speed and mass of an object, the longer distance it will take to stop the object. What about brake fade....brakes get overworked and fail due to...

Switching to a shared reservoir brake master cylinder

It should react as a complete circuit . Less pressure at the brake pedal, transferred through the circuit (brake line) to the caliper. Power assisted brakes along with line restrictions will ultimately lead to more pressure (stiffer pedal, more pressure with less pressure applied at the brake...

    delete or not??? emissions

Rip and tear...we don't care. Emission controls retrict the motor...let it.....B-------R----------E---------A----------T-------H ! More importantly, clean up all that shit from the engine compartment.

Switching to a shared reservoir brake master cylinder

Correction....fluid dynamics. So you are saying that a smaller diameter line with the same amount of fluid passing will not resteict flow causing a higher fluid line pressure?.....interesting. Last time I checked in the case of the fire department, they are able to increase the velocity and...

Switching to a shared reservoir brake master cylinder

Most of the power booster disc brake conversion kits on the market have a larger diameter...more volume hard line from the front circuit and a smaller line....higher pressure hard line dedicated to the rear. Even my 64 c10 had larger diameter front lines than rear. More volume wont necessarily...
