RECOVERED AFTER STOLEN..HOW TO PREVENT THIS AGAIN

Here in Az we have the legal right to use deadly force, especially when threatened by a gun. "You're only justified in using deadly physical force when a reasonable person would believe that it's immediately necessary to protect against deadly force." State v. Andersen (App. Div.1 1993) 177...

1981 & up Tailgate Bands are being Reproduced!

Lmao.....LMC sells Chinese repops......and overpriced repops at that. If you look hard enough you can still find oem units in decent shape for under $100. redrc10 (jay) found one locally in Phx for $40

RECOVERED AFTER STOLEN..HOW TO PREVENT THIS AGAIN

Scotty B...no worries about offending me. I too have weapons training as well as a background in law enforcement. I didnt mean to hijack this thread... in regards to theft deterrents on the older squares, they are easy to break into (all vehicles have glass)....and simple to break into the...

RECOVERED AFTER STOLEN..HOW TO PREVENT THIS AGAIN

Please don't get me wrong with my last post. I would not wish anyone to be put into a situation like I was. In a situation like that, a quick decision had to be made. That decision was to protect the well being of my loved ones. If it were to ever happen again, I can honestly say that I would...

    Lowering question

That should work. The question is the offset of your wheels and inner fender clearance may be tight. Just remember...low sidewall and narrow tire. A 305x40x22 for example is a wide low profile tire, but if it is mounted on too narrow a wheel the tire height will increase since the width is...

RECOVERED AFTER STOLEN..HOW TO PREVENT THIS AGAIN

I was involved in a home bugulary. I used my handgun in self defense. I saw no jail time. Financial burden...nope...emotional burden...nope. I was protecting myself, my wife and kids. I dropped the guy and I have never felt bad about it. Hell, I should have gone after his survivors for the ammo...

RECOVERED AFTER STOLEN..HOW TO PREVENT THIS AGAIN

Well... In Arizona (an open carry state)....if you feel that your life is in danger, you can shoot in self defense. If you witness a violent crime such as a carjacking...you also have the legal right to shoot on behalf of the victim. Just be sure to shoot them in the front and unload the clip.

RECOVERED AFTER STOLEN..HOW TO PREVENT THIS AGAIN

I am not sure if it is a Grant product, but there are a few companies that make quick release steering wheels that also have a locking cover that installas over the steering shaft. Summit and Jegs have them.

    Lowering question

How much are the drop spindles? 2" drop?....with just spindles you probably wont have issues. If you combine the springs with the spindles, then yes you may have scuffing issues..... It really depends on how tall of a sidewall you have. With oem rally wheels and the lack of offset, you will need...

    Front end lowered problem

I hear ya....wheels and tires suck to buy. Talk about dropping coin, I just bought a full air ride setup for my 64 c10 today...picking up all the parts tomorrow. This is my early xmas present to myself. Once the weather gets cooler, my daughter and I will resume the build. Its been too damn...

    Lowering question

It it were me...I would opt to lower with spindles, springs and the flip kit. If you decide AFTER installing the drop coils, you can always reinstall the oem coils. You will of course also have to get new front shocks and rear.

    Front end lowered problem

Last time I checked...dragging any vehicle with the frame touching the ground causes damage. Gotta love fb warriors...they always make me giggle

    Front end lowered problem

I left the rear fenderwells in the original position. I didnt raise them. The rear tires touch the rear fenders when the air is out of the rear bags....its a theft deterrant. ..lol

    Front end lowered problem

Geez...30" tires...it's no wonder you're rubbing. Up front I have 285x45r20 and out back 305x40xr20. I have the same wheels since back when I was static dropped 6 front 9 rear. The only rubbing was the top of the tires on the front inner fenderwells. ..which I removed and fabricated my own...

RECOVERED AFTER STOLEN..HOW TO PREVENT THIS AGAIN

Nothing a cheap pair of bolt cutters cant remove. That will only slow down thieves for 2 minutes. Real car thieves will find a way. Sorry to say it, but with that apparatus, your vehicle can still be stolen....with a tow dolly. If a thief wants it, they will take it. Best option is to insure...

RECOVERED AFTER STOLEN..HOW TO PREVENT THIS AGAIN

Install a hidden switch that disables the ignition spark or fuel pump....and install a removable steering wheel. If that doesn't work...a little c4 with a pressure switch under the driver seat and full coverage insurance. Total loss of vehicle AND thief...problem solved.

    VHT Ceramic painted Headers

Yes...when jet hot ceramic coated both inside and outside of the headers it prolongs the life of the headers. Painting hewders with heat resistant paint, regardless will burn off. The coating usually burns off closest to the flanges and bends of the pipes.

    VHT Ceramic painted Headers

Unless you have them ceramic coated both inside and out...that vht paint will burn off. I used the same product....and it didnt last a year. Next time I will be letting the professionals at jet hot coat the headers.

    Front end lowered problem

You will need some 50 series tires up front for sure. Something like 265 x 50 r 15. A reputable tire shop can lead you in the correct direction...after having the front end aligned. I am guessing that your current tires are 265 x 75 r 15? Go with a tire as wide as the rim and as low of a...

I would still give them a call. They have hands on build experience. Call and ask for Seth or Tom. Either of them are a great resource for information on what will work.
