    Removing a Tailgate Bow

True....but like he stated it is more than a daily driver truck. Sounds more like he would be better off replacing the tailgate with a new one rather than band aid fix the old.

    Removing a Tailgate Bow

Well...if it's in the condition like you stated (tailgate), and the truck is more than a daily driver....fork out the cash and do it the right way. If you want to keep the overall appearance of a nice truck that is taken care of, replace the tailgate instead of trying to,save a few bucks. More...

    Removing a Tailgate Bow

$400-500....they aren't that much for a tailgate shell. I just paid $200 for a replacement. $325 total for the tailgate and paint.

    Removing a Tailgate Bow

Buy a new tailgate $200...... You'll end up wasting time and effort and risk damaging it more. If you're lucky it may straighten a little, but more than likely won't be back to where the bow will dissapear. The metal retains it's memory once bent. Remove the bowed tailgate and make a bench...

MagnaFlow vs Flowmaster vs Straight Pipes

Insulate the plug wires....I do agree about the underhood temps, but I would rather deal with the temps then replacing headers. Mine were a bitch to install.

MagnaFlow vs Flowmaster vs Straight Pipes

If you're planning on submerging in the Pennsylvania crud mud, then no matter what you do your headers will rot. Ya better buy in bulk. The clay content will retain the moisture no matter what.

MagnaFlow vs Flowmaster vs Straight Pipes

Exactamundo! Wrapping headers traps moisture and quickly rots out the metal. Ceramic coating (jet hot) both inside and out is far better than any wrap.

I was gonna say the same...as springs will setlle a bit. Of course by then have the front alignment rechecked.

    4 link parallel bar

Do you have a pic of "super ghetto cinderblocks" ?? I'm thinking they might be kinda like adobe bricks, but I may be wrong. It's been quite a few years since I lived on the East coast.

    4 link parallel bar

I thought so too, but when I called you sister, she said that she was busy. Fat chicks tend to stay on your side of the country since they can handle the colder weather with their added Insulation. It is really a shame that Barnum and Bailey went out of business. Most people believe that it was...

    Replacement Hood

There are still made in the USA body panels available. ..you just have to dig deeper into your budget. You do get what you pay for. I searched all over my area (Az)....and all of my replacement panels were oem from other Squares. I would rather have to do some minor bodywork then buy a Chinese...

    Lowering on 31s

Well...until you can budget new tires, a 2 inch drop is the first step. I can't honestly say that I know what clearance issues you may have since most people don't have that profile of tire when considering a drop. Worst case scenario is your tires may scrub your front fenderwells at full...

MagnaFlow vs Flowmaster vs Straight Pipes

Wrapping headers, unless for offroad use is absurd. The only vehicle that I ever wrapped the headers on was our old pre runner truck. The wrap protected the headers from rock and other debris while kicking ass across the Mexican desert.

    Battery or alternator issue?

Start the truck. With the truck running at idle disconnect the positive terminal of the battery. If the motor dies, it's a bad alternator. From what you described, it's more than likely a bad alternator. When the engine is running, it turns the alternator which charges the battery. If the...
