    coilover or bags

I'll bet that my airbags will far outlast anything metal in your truck. Yes, I realize that is an unfair statement since you do live in the rust belt. Everything has a lifespan, but air bags are probably not considered a "wear" item. About the only thing taht will shorten the service life of an...

    coilover or bags

Cmon...seriously....you really wonder why ? The big five engineer to fail after a pre-determined amount of time. If you want reliability and longevity, buy something other than your basic grocery getter car or brick hauling truck. So unless you have ever had a purpose built and properly...

    coilover or bags

Bags have come a long way in durability and reliability from years past. Think of the bags on semi trucks...yes they can fail, but after how many thousands if not hundreds of thousands of miles? Now, others out there may try to cut cost and buy whatever is cheapest and you will, get what you...

    coilover or bags

Not commonly...yet. there are great setups on the horizon. Sema is full of them. Unfortunately at this point its more of how much can you afford to do. Ride Tech has an adjustable height air ride shock. Its pricey though. It give you the best of both worlds.

    coilover or bags

Of course, with the right engineering, airbags can be used for road coursing as well...it just depends on the right setup.

Bags for comfort and heightt adjustability. ... coil overs for road coursing...or go with a RideTech adjustable for the ultimate adjustability and performance if you can handle the cost.

    82 swb 2/4 or 3/4 drop?

What size are the wheels? You shouldn't have inner wheel clearance issues with a 2" drop spindle and 15" wheels, but you will have clearance issues with 3" drop spindles if the offset isn't enough. I opted to swap out my 15" rally oem wheels for a 20" wheel in order to eliminate clearance...

    1984 silverado trim

Nope...... ..didn't use the plastic clips. I took off the clips anr ran a strip of the foam tape along the upper and lower edges of the aluminum trim. The problem with the plastic clips is over time the get brittle and break off. The trim pieces end up ratlling in place and become loose. If I...

    1984 silverado trim

QUOTE="ajdemello, post: 382265, member: 12220"]My question is if you wanna put the trim on a truck that it didn't have it can you just use some sheet metal screws to hold the white plastic things on? Don't drill holes...use 3m adhesive foam tape!!!

    1984 silverado trim

My 84 came with the brushed cab trim pieces. During my buikd, I opted to remove the mounting tabs thinkwon't come off without a fight for sure. I was gonna keep the trim off. After paint, well...I decided to add the trim back. I used a 3m high strength adhesive trim moulding tape. At grainger...

    Wheel balancing rant

Switch tire shops. I have never had wheel weights on the outside of my wheels and never any issues. Sounds to me like that tire shop obviously has unqualified techs.

    1981 k10 headers

X2 on the header wrap......unless you want to replace the headers every year...especialy in Michigan. If you're worried about heat soaking the plugs, install heat wrap socks on the plug boots where the attach to the plugs. I have yet to find headers that will clear angled plugs on small block chevy.

MagnaFlow vs Flowmaster vs Straight Pipes

Clay coat...market that shit and retire rich...lmao ...actually clay is very absorbant and unless chemically sealed will not only desperse heat, but absorb water quite well. Maybe there was a layer of oil on the headers before the clay was heat packed on them. All of the off road vehicles...
