    Coolant overflow reservoir location?

Metal oem hood. I don't have oem fenderwells though...I made my own for needed tire clearance and to keep the engine compartment clean.

    Coolant overflow reservoir location?

Yup....with them installed, when I pull the hood release in the cab, the hood automatically lifts. I replaced the oem spring cantilever hinges...they had too much slop in them and were squeaky.

    Bagging the square....FINALLY!

Me too. I agree there is a limit to the size of the wheel. I think if it fills in the fenderwell opening just right and looks proportional. ..thats fine. Now...the guys who install the "wagon wheels" that turn a car or truck into a friggin chuckwagon...that's just plain retarded.

    Coolant overflow reservoir location?

I personally like the stainless over the plastic. My plastic tank was cracked and soiled. I got lucky and picked up the new tank off craigslist for $25 and I only had to drive 5 miles from home...that never happens when you find a good deal.

    Bagging the square....FINALLY!

I have my eye on a 1965 fleetside Chevy. Going with my daughter Wednesday to take a look and make an offer. If we buy, it's gonna be a father/daughter build. She wants rust and natural patina....an for it to be a sleeper...lol rough on the outside and all motor and suspension. And of...

    Bagging the square....FINALLY!

Thanks...I get more comments about the wheels then I would have imagined. Wheels are always the toughest to decide on. I wanted something different.

    Bagging the square....FINALLY!

The headers when the air is dumped lay on the ground. The lower cross member is 1/4" from touching the pavement sorry for the crappy pics, I recently had all of my pics erased from my tablet due to a factory reset.

    Coolant overflow reservoir location?

When i removed my inner fenderwells, I opted to replace the plastic overflow tank wiith a stainless steel tank. The tank is mounted on the passenger side of the radiator about level with the top of the radiator. I wouldn't think it matters at what height since overflow pressure will fill the...

    O2 Sensor

Nothing...a heater o2 sensor is a waste of time. Some people have argued that it leans out the mixture....blah...blah. I drank that Kool-aid, bought and installed and wired in the heated o2 sensor......and it did absolutely NOTHING No open loop, no check engine light and runs fine.

What have you done to your square lately??

Do you have a Costco nearby ? I always stocked up on Rotella from there when I had my Duramax.

    Gold mine!

Those are classics. I had a set of those on my first 1976 square in 1990

    Gold mine!

Yep...and if you drive on them, have a blowout caused by rotting rubber, you may become brain dead..llll

    Gold mine!

Any tire past 6 years old...yeah...not a good idea to use them no matter how "new" they look or how deep the tread is.

    PANEL REPLACE OR CAB SWAP?

Cab swap.....been there and done that. My swap (84 cab to an 87)...was decided upon due to extensive hail damage and rust in the critical corners and structural parts of the cab and roof. It's not that difficult. Once you do it, youll never waste time patching a cancerous cab

Can't find new rear hubs for '74

I think your mechanic deformed the drums when using a hammer to remove them. If it were me....he broke it...he replaces it. Any mechanic knows that instead of using a hammer to remove drums, all you have to do is reverse the adjuster a few turns and disengage the brakes..... I think his name...
