The really interesting part is gonna be teaching my 16 year old how to three point turn for her driving test. Maybe I should give her a go in this....since it has manual steering. That should be fun. At least it has power disc brakes.

Removing paint and "polishing" it while maintaining patina?

Use a mixture of boiled linseed oil thinned down with 4 parts mineral oil. The surface ro be coated must be free of dust and dirt. If not free of dirt etc. It becomes trapped in the linseed oil mix and will cause a rough texture. Linseed oil takes about 24 hours to dry and it EXTREMELY...

What have you done to your square lately??

Replaced the worn out oem door handles and replaced them with new units. Finally figured out the secret to taking those damn things off... (fricken tiny clip holding the actuator rod in place) !! some 4/6 drop wheel help (yea i know)

Stay a way from using those 1/4" spacers...just buy the correct offset wheels and or go with a larger diameter wheel. Those spacers are dangerous, in fact most reputable tire shps won't reinstall wheels if those have been previously installed. You coukd use stud adapters instead, but then again...

    Suspension Rebuild/Upgrade & Lowering Questions

Replacng body mounts is fairly straightforward. Years of rust can make removing the oem harware tricky and often times the bolts have to be broken off or cut. Plan ahead to replace some if not all of the mounting hardware. I replaced mine with srainless steel....although more expensive, I won't...

Upgrade to polyurethene bushings. Polyurethane will stifen the ride and tighten up the sloppy feel with the rubber bushings....and....the polyurethane will last....pretty much forever. Yes...leaf springs with excessive loads and age will flatten out. You can have them re-arched, or in your...

Most complete drop kit and the lowest I can go with no mods

Yes, you can do a flip kit, however...if you load the bed of your truck and use it as a truck...a mini notch would be highly recommended. btw...mini notch's run about $126.

Most complete drop kit and the lowest I can go with no mods

4 inches front, 6 inches rear....drop coils and spindles up front and rear axle flip kit in the back. Any lower up front and you will encounter clearance issues. You also need to consider what size tires and wheels you have as well.

Check the ignition switch located on top of the steering column. Old and worn contacts will arc...and also cause a no start issue. Also check that the fuel pump relay is functioning as well.
