which front axle should i use?

Probably alot easier to find the 78/79 f250 dana 44 front than it is to find the ultra rare 90/91 burb and blazer 241. They are out there, but they are not at all easy to find. I'll setup you one for $500 with a slip yoke eliminator and a high angle driveline cv flange rear output.

    Stock spring rate

Not true. Stock springs are negative arch, and the shackles are set up for such. Lift springs are positive arch, and shackle angles have different requirements between the two. Move your shackle to the property position for positive arched springs, and the ride improves considerably.

    3.08 gears with 35" tires?

if your overdrive isn't working, your trans is broke. If you're planing on making it a daily driver, a broken trans is not a good part of that equation.

    3.08 gears with 35" tires?

What the 12 bolt gains in t ring and pinion strength, and a beefier carrier, It loses in smaller pinion bearings.

Looking for a little more power.

Gears are a far better bang for your buck, especially with oversize tires on stock half ton axles.

    3.08 gears with 35" tires?

3.73 or 4.10 gears would be a good selection if you did NOT have a 700r4. 4.56 its about where you want to be with a 700 and 35s

15" rims on 3/4 ton axles

Grinding calipers on 3/4 and 1 ton axles has ben done thousands of times. Don't go crazy and you will be fine. The drawback from 16.5s, aside from the price, its their lack of a safety bead. This makes it that much easier to lose a bead off road. couple that with the added sidewall flex of a 15"...
