    Short bed side rust prevention?

For a good read on the topic I went to: howtosavemoney.ca/which-rust-proofing-sevice-is-best. It shows a study by the Canadian Military comparing top rust proofing companies. Not saying one is better than another since I have no experience with any but more information can't be a bad thing...

    Short bed side rust prevention?

Sorry I'm a tech moron but I don't know how to make a link "hot" but here's the URL(?) for a good read: howtosavemoney.ca/which-rust-proofing-service-is-best. I'm sure someone will know how to make it a link you can click on. Shows a study conducted by the Canadian Military for rust-proofing...

What is the worst body work you've seen or done?

No pics but it DID happen years ago. A co-workers son had an accident that caved in the driver's side door. He asked me to help him repair it. I pulled the dent as well as I could (all he had was a dent puller, not wanting to disassemble inside door to do it right, no dollies, no body hammers)...

SOLD 1987 k10 suburban for Parts *All Gone*

Any updates on the rear seat belts? I'm thinking your '91 is probably going to have the 3-point belts in the rear which mine doesn't have but everything else should be good for reference. Thanks, trukman1

SOLD 1987 k10 suburban for Parts *All Gone*

If Op doesn't want to separate the console, that is IF, since I'm not wanting to cut into his dealings, I have a console I can snatch one from but, again, only IF he doesn't want to sell his. trukman1

SOLD 1987 k10 suburban for Parts *All Gone*

Do you know if the rear seat belts are the same as in an '88 K5 Blazer? If so, since it appears yours are grey I'd be interested in those if they are the same.

    1984 k20 question

Most t/c units have a round, red tag that tells model. Might be buried under crud.

    Lifting a 2WD Square Body

I worked with a guy who had a lifted truck. Everyone thought it was a four wheel drive but one day I noticed it was 2wd. He was surprised it took so long for someone to notice. He simply bought some of those "twist-in" lugs that you put in between the coil spring coils. I've heard they aren't a...

    Engine overheating

Good suggestion. One thing I'd like to point out as a long shot, I had a 454 with a 4 core radiator and had constant issues with over heating. I checked everything I could think of then it hit me...timing. I reset the timing and the problem went away. Engine Masters did a show on cooling and...

    Engine Detailing?

Sorry OP, not trying to steal your thread but I need to pick Doppleganger's brain... Any tricks for shining up the factory aluminum rims that came on our square bodies! My K5 could use some help and I'm lazy! LOL! ETA: Didn't complete my question but somehow hit a button that posted...

    ***SOLD**** FS: ‘93 K1500 Z71

Is there any rust? Might be interested if it's driveable as is. Would you trust it to make it to Ohio as is? Also, tires condition? Let me know if reliable (if so I can fix the half-assed stuff later.) Definitely interested.

    73 87 square parts

What year and options are these parts from? Being more specific will help potential buyers know if you have the parts they're looking for. ETA: I realize after re-reading your post there's probably too many parts from too many years to list all. Sorry 'bout that.

Wanted: 88 Silverado Cruise/Wiper/Turn Signal Lever

I need an original lever for a 1988 K5 Silverado. One with the cruise/wiper/turn signal, all black. I purchased the K5 sight unseen (stupid) from Idaho. The original lever was broken but bent severly before it broke. I purchased a cheap aftermarker lever which snapped when my son bumped it...

    Used Edelbrock 1406 carb

Ewhitaker0020, You might try calling National Carburetors and talk to a tech. If you give them ALL the information on your vehicle they can custom build a carb for you. They should ask all the engine specs, vehicle, vehicle weight, gearing, transmission, and probably more. I even had to tell my...
