Anyone Ever heard of Electrolysis ???

I loaned my engine hoist to a friend with two conditions: 1) He was never to leave an engine hanging on it and 2) he was never to leave it outside. A couple years went by before I needed it again. I went to pick it up and it was sitting outside buried in the dirt. I brought it home, fashioned a...

Where do you buy your parts

I've used Rock Auto in the past but lately I've been using CARiD. They have been the cheapest both on parts and shipping for the parts I've been purchasing for my '88 K5. Bonus is when I leave a review they send me a $25 Gift Certificate! Hard to beat that!

    Engine cooling fan

When I did my last build I looked at the price of electric fans and decided to replace the fan clutch. If your not racing you have to ask is it worth the extra bucks. I vote for a new fan clutch and be done with it. Of course, on a new build I started with a new water pump so can't speak to that...

    Seat belts

My father came upon a wreck with a local kid inside. The kid was unconscious and leaning against the seat belt. Dad couldn't get the seat belts to unlock because of his body weight being on them. The car burst into flames. Dad's arms got burned pretty bad trying to get him out. Victor (the...

    Making Van Buckets Fold?

    How To Refurbish Your Dashpad

At my local ACE Hardware they have small plastic caps that snap onto various size screw heads. You might try some of those if you want to hide the srews. I've only seen them in black but you should be able to paint them with vinyl paint to color match if you want to hide those silver screw...

    Seat Compatibility

If you decide to go with Blazer/Suburban Buckets remember to check the hinge covers. They are often broken or missing and can be hard to find. Especially the passenger side. Ask me how I know...
