    Battery Hold Down Bolt

Ran a 5/16" tap through the hole (suggested by a member on another site) and that did the trick! Just might come in handy for other members as well. Thanks fellas!

    Battery Hold Down Bolt

I purchased a 8 mm x 1.25 bolt thinking it was what I needed (and parts stores say is right) but it is too large and 1/4" is too small. 5/16" is too large also. I purchased the large plastic hold down at NAPA. I want to finally be able to drive my K5 but I need to have the battery secured...

    Best Rust CONVERTER For Chassis

Thanks shiftpro, That's the part I'm trying to figure out. I see converters from $40-$80 per gallon and think they might all just be basically the same thing but just want to do it once and forget it without paying too much for something I could have bought for half the price. I should have...

    Best Rust CONVERTER For Chassis

Looking for rust CONVERTER for my son's'67 long bed chassis. Absolutely NOT interested in POR-15! Tried the encapsulation route. After a while it dries out and during serious off road use the chassis flexes, the encapsulating cracks and rust forms underneath. Been there, done that. Anybody...

HELP! Keep it stock or go a little aftermarket

Of course, ultimately, it's your decision but let me just throw my 2 cents into the hat... I purchased a 1988 K5 that was supposed to be 100% stock and mechanically, it is. That's what I wanted because I didn't want something "cobbled" up by some PO. (It ended up being cobbled up in the...

    350 intake parts questions.

Dual plane intakes generally have better "street ability" where single planes are, generally considered better for racing. Single plane intakes aren't as forgiving at idle. Not that you can't make a single plane work for the street it's just their better suited for higher horsepower...

Steering Stabilizers - Singles vs. Duals

My 2 cents worth... A single can make a difference in the feel and driveability but if you need duals to stabilize your vehicle then you probably have other issues you need to address.

    350 intake parts questions.

Hey guys, Q-jets are AWESOME if you know how to build and tune them! I, in my younger days, used to rebuild and tune them for "haters" who were blown away by how good they were when properly done. Heck, I used to race with guys who ran Q-jets (myself included) and blew away guys in their class...

SDjunkMan, I thought there was a piece that went under the console for support but I'm not sure now if there is or not. I saw a picture of one but it might have been from a different year. Not going to worry about it. If mine needs one I'll just make it.Thanks for your help.

th400 noise,no power at startup then fine????

Disclaimer: I'm no tranny expert but my TH400 had a similar problem after I installed a shift kit. My buddy told me there is a plunger on a spring that goes into the valve body (told you I'm no expert) and to take it out, run some ultra fine sandpaper VERY lightly around the edge of the rubber...
