    Ashtray cup holder design

Looks like the same thing I made for my tractors. I am trying to make something that is hideaway but easily usable. It is not a show truck but I am renewing the interior and will not be using the truck for work. I do not know about you but it never fails, anything on the floor always seems to...

    Ashtray cup holder design

So I understand, you take out your ashtray and you stick this piece in the hole? What happens when you want to close your ashtray? You put this thing behind the seat?

I designed the opening to be 2.75 inches diameter so a typical can will easily fit with a little room left

    Ashtray cup holder design

Because of the limited space, I planned to remove the ashtray and cut some of the metal out that holds the ashtray in place. The drink holder would then be secured to a piece of aluminum that needs to be pop riveted in place. I need to create step by step instructions with the pieces and...

    Ashtray cup holder design

Like everyone else, I miss having a cup holder in my 87 so I set out to try to design a drink holder that can fold up and slide into the ashtray. Below is a drawing that I have been refining and I hope to make my first prototype soon. Just looking for what people think and what would people...

You may also like the following webpage. It helped me to figure out many different parts numbers. The funny thing is I now know my truck is a complete Frankenstein of parts spanning from the early 70's all the way to 87. I am not helping either as I am also modifying and installing parts that...

As I have never had a response to this question but have continued to look for parts and illustration catalogs, I finally located a thread that had a working download link. The illustrations are great. Hopefully helps someone else. Am I really part of a forum if the tree falls in the woods...

    Returning to my past

I appreciate the simplicity and the engine bay space. The cost of repairs are reasonable. I am interested in a self learning throttle body fuel injection.

    Returning to my past

I tested that theory in my university days. We were driving street bikes on campus sidewalks. I left the campus and I got stopped. The guy was trying to make me say it was me but I said it was the other guys. He had nothing to go on so he had to let me go. Yes or no answers and deny...

    Returning to my past

I grew up like that as well. It suchs when you are broke down but now I can hear things going wrong with the vehicle I am driving that nobody else can hear. You are always listening for things flying apart. I also learned this skill running farm equipment which always breaks down.

    Returning to my past

I was thinking rent a garage or house with garage. Just camp in the garage. My lady likes my crazy plans so it makes things easier. Colombian farm girls are the best!

    Returning to my past

I will look into it. I am a bit delayed as I am still making repairs so it will run correctly. I had many wiring and vacuum issues. I pulled the intake and most of the wiring so I am now reinstalling and getting closer to traveling. I cannot use a toneau cover because I am carrying a 2013...

    Returning to my past

We live close to David in an urbanization. We are about 45 minutes from the Costa Rican border. Hot as hell but the rent is much lower. I can drive to David in 10 minutes on my motorcycle but I have to split lanes the whole way. If you do not get stopped was it really a traffic violation?

    Returning to my past

I think my block is a four bolt main so I want to try to reuse some parts and play with all the motor details. I might just rent a storage unit as certain places allow businesses.

    Returning to my past

My wife is living in Panama right now. When I go to work we live in camps and work everyday so I go and she waits. As well it is basically impossible for her to get a Canadian visitor visa. Full immigration or nothing. I have been keeping photos but I am not a very good video documentation...

    Returning to my past

Believe me, politicians have and will always ruin many things. This truck is part of my computerless world and my second home in Panama. Canada is quickly going to the politicians as well. As soon as Summit Racing offers the below option for my 1987 Chevy, I will be purchasing as it seems...

    Returning to my past

I had a 1983 4x4 when I was 16 years old but never really appreciated it because always had problems and never had the money to make it run correctly. So 25 years later I now have returned to repair one the way I want. The internet and parts supply makes it so much easier. Plus I live near a...

    Parts Diagrams

Hello. New to the forum and I have a question about parts manuals. Ideally I am looking for a parts manual for a 1986 chevy c10 regular cab 2WD. Basic parts explosions of all things on the vehicle. I already have downloaded several service manuals and unit manuals. Anybody have a link to...
