Beadlock and tires and back spacing.. oh my.

So.... as we all know there squares are never done are they. I ran into a sweat seal in a Dana 60 front and decided I should finally step into the beadlock and 37’s click. I’m still waiting on parts from ORD to swap in my 60 but I went ahead and started mounting the tires on the rims. Procomp...

pinion angle shims on the front?

thanks for the questions. I used ORD axle relocation plates. It was very easy and ill post pics shortly. moving the axle does indeed change your pinion angle as the axle follows the apex of the arch in the springs. every degree matters and moving it 1 1/2" forward changed my pinion angle another...

pinion angle shims on the front?

Good morning yall. I recently moved the front axle 1 1/2" forward on my k5. the pinion is level with the ground and is creating a stupid crazy pinion angle. I would love to put like a 4* shim up there. I have never used shims in the front before and want to know if it is "safe" I have a set...

bad shake in rear of truck from 55ish to 65 ish

update: I removed the 1" tcase spacers the previous owner installed. im assuming he installed them to correct pinion angle at one time. removing the spacers raised the tcase 1" and changed my pinion angle by 2 degrees. the shake is much less now but still there. now, however it feels like a...

heres the truck specs. 1982 k5 14 bolt swap 6" lift double cardon high angle driveshaft. the shake: its a left to right feeling out of the rear of the truck. its not through the steering wheel at all. at 50ish mph it is at its worse and smooths out out (but not all the way) around 65ish mph...

    6” Rough Country

Thanks for the shout out and compliments !!!! It is a 6” ORD lift on 35” tires. The rims were 15x12. I have since swapped the rims for steel 15x10. Much much better. FYI. ORD does not measure the lifts by top of can measurements. The measure from the bottom of the bump stop bracket (front)...

excessive heat coming from firewall: help please

I guess what I’m asking or saying is that the vaccine line I circled in red is just laying there. It appears it should be connected to a nipple that should be around that vicinity. My assumption is it regulates that door being opened and closed. I can’t find the nipple anywhere. Sent from...

excessive heat coming from firewall: help please

So looks like multiple problems. 1. The actuator arm on the blend door looks broken 2. Is the top of the blend door actuator arm supposed to be attached to something ? 3. If I move temp control slider to cold , the heater core becomes fully exposed. If I slide it HOT the door shuts and...
