    Cool Beans .... The junk column was a 77 and up my column is a 75 year model .. Took a chance with thinking that the internal parts I needed were interchangeable... Got lucky, they were ... One of the items that I was hoping would work in my column was the contact switch for the key...

    I bought a column for parts .. Got it from eBay out of Nebraska .. Hoping that the parts I'm needing are still serviceable .. Be here tomorrow, soon to find out if I bought a dead horse or not ?? Emergency brake cleaned up well, for being 70 years old still works good and shows no signs...

    I like the way ya think ... Blown 572" BBC making 900 HP would be my choice .. But, i better keep the 406" Mouse motor in it being it would net better gas mileage ... Then again if I hit lotto, it's on !!

    It's soon to be replaced with a wooden knob ... Wanting to match the dashboard .. Going to see real soon how close I'll get to achieving that goal ? Freaken dash is looking kind of busy ... Didn't want to see anything hanging from under it .. Although I did mount just two add-ons ...

    If I had used the og TH 400 adapter on the 4L case machining would had been needed on the adapter in order to bolt onto the 4L trans case .. Didn't use it, used the og GM 4L 4X4 adapter instead + the Canadian custom made adapter ... No machining on my end was needed, it was Plug & Play ..

    Kicking Mickey Mouse to the curb .. Years back I bought a windshield wiper kit that coverts the factory vacuum wipers to electric ... Still working as good as day one .. Did have a small problem at the time of installing the kit .. Was wanting to keep the stock IH knob, didn't get to do that...

    Got the transfer case shifter nailed on ... Made it to look like the transmission shifter, trans is shifted at the column .. Used a cut down to fit 1975 Cadillac column, did get the needed swing for having low gear ..

    Lots of holes was filled ... Would like to see the engine bay looking nice ... Took some work to get the look I'm after .. Epoxy primer will see bed liner for the top coat, along with the firewall ..

    Never would I have thought that finding a VDO tach would be this hard to do ! The one I already have been working fine for years on end just got a facelift ... The factory gauges have a dome lens ... Wanted to have all the gauges to have the same look, found a clock company that offers...

    Well, I decided not to use the bezel for the vacuum gauge .. It being in bad shape where it mounts to the gauge cup was going to be a eyesore ... Will be on the hunt for another VDO tach just like the one I have .. Do think I can make the bezel work much better than the one I have in hand ...

    The convex lens came in ... Was a job taking .180" off the O.D. to fit the tach .. Vacuum gauge is also a chore to get it to work with the VDO bezel ..

    Back to working on the dashboard .. Parts came from the closed up chrome shop .. Great people, really going to miss their talents for chroming. Been 40+ years they been doing my plating ... Here's the VDO bezel, going to run it as it is ... Got a bit of copper bleed though showing in one...

    That wasn't in the cards !! 50 year old plastic part gave up the ghost .. Have no idea when it broke ?? Didn't seem to affect driving none, but I found a new replacement ... Could had reused the old cracked bearing, probably wouldn't have cause any problems ... But I'm here now in the...

    Speaking of turning ... Might see this today .. It was designed for use with aftermarket steering columns .. I'm using a 1975 Cadillac that I modified to fit .. We'll soon see how well the custom firewall mount works out .. Cool, got it in hand .. Looking like the GM column will need...
