    Like the GMC frame, a lot has changed ... I did a wide body to it by adding 3" to the rear fenders and fitting a set of R-150 front fenders ... That job took a conservable bit of time to do ..

    That's the dash ... I kind of did my own thing with it .. My truck is what's called a Frankenstein ... I used a dash from a R-190 over the road truck in my bottom of the line R-100 ... The reason was it having a hole for the tach and air-brakes, plus no cutout for the three on the tree shift...

    Wanting the T case shifter to be bout 5 or 6 inches forward of where it was at when the 400 was in it and dead center between the bucket seats ... There's a small bit of reasoning for the location I'm after.. You see there will be only the T case shifter in the cab ... Won't be a transmission...

    Did give some thought to using a gear to gear T-Case .. But I already had the 203 and went though it not long ago .. This old truck don't see much off-road action at all, more of a street rod nowadays ... Should see a lot of hi-way miles yet to come .. Hopping that will be the case ..

    Things are progressing very well ... Time to stick it .. And that is what I did .. Or tried to do ... The GM adapters are a bit different between the 400 and 4L80 .. Got a slab of aluminum coming that will be used to fill the gap .. Not here yet ... And more modifying is needed in...

    Trans is built, went though the 203 with R&R the bearings, replaced the chain and added a Mile Maker SS output shaft in turn converting to part time .. Time to get those two hooked up ... Had thoughts of using the Oem adapter from the TH 400 .. Would need some machining to fit the 4L80 case...

With also using a Oem 4L80 4x4 adapter and a special custom made adapter that converted the NP203 to the 4L80 4x4 adapter made it plug & play with 100 % spline contact ..     Thanks Guys ... Now that the overdrive is almost installed, the TH 400 will be sold .. It was a special build back when I built the critter ... Works as good as the day it went on line .. Going to miss it, kind of like saying "BYE" to a old friend ... A world of hi-po goodies lurks inside...

    Dis a chore to marry a NP 203 to a 4L85E .. Making a homemade transfer case shifter mount in order to relocate the shifter ... Very soon will have overdrive .. The push, pull Overdrive cable is only along for the ride, not hooked to anything .. "Blast from the Past" might be saying ..
