    Dont feel bad. Im replacing a cam in a motor thats not even fully broken in( still has second round of break in oil) because its going in another vehicle with different goals. So all the gaskets and such as well. Yeah so smallest umbrella ive seen is .870

    I have no shame. Ive used JB Weld to plug so many holes it should seek therapy,LOL Jb Weld is NEVER the ideal solution....But man im glad its there when it is the only solution.

    Ill take a pic of my old quad that has this mod if you end up there If you remove the carb cold and see fuel pooled you most likely have this problem You can see where the jb weld is on the carb. You have to tear it down to do so its best to do when rebuilding the carb.

    When i encountered this it was because the fuel was leaking out of the carb through the bowl. There is a jb weld procedure to fill the bottom of the bowl that worked well for me until i swapped carbs. Just google jb weld quadrajet fix or something like that

    What torque convertor would be best

    For reference the same motor with a 292 480 single grind(still 1.6rr so .512lift) and stock heads(8.0-1 compression) was a slug off idle due to the duration and compression. Cam wanted to run 2200+rpm to wake up and wouldnt tow for crud.
