    Under hood paint suggestion

Personally I regret having used a gloss/semi gloss. I used a flat primer and I think mine looked better before adding the gloss paint. The flat makes it so you can actually see under the hood. With the gloss mine lost a lot of the "pop" of the new parts under there. The flat looked waaay better...

402 Experts... Tell me what you know

I think A 396/402/454 whatever is gonna put out more torque than hp in stock form. So a small cam, intake combo will be smooth like stock and easily make 450+tq. Thats pretty Smooth and reliable IMHO. As far a cost well you get what you pay for thats true. However if your paying over 2k just for...

402 Experts... Tell me what you know

Somebody on the thread said the 402 would need a lot of work to get to 400hp. IM calling BS if we are talking about the 71-72 LS3. Cam,heads, intake.etc will easily gross you 500. The low ass 275hp rating was net not gross. In other words they changed over to rating the hp at the wheels in 72...

20% + increase in fuel mileage!

Thats what ive gathered as well. I thought I saw you selling a sniper not too long ago...thats why I wanted your opinion. Im not as concerned with mpg as I am with having a proper stoichiometric mixture. I know from having ran carbs with N2O that wet intake setups do not atomize the fuel nearly...

20% + increase in fuel mileage!

I thought I wanted a Sniper unit until I realized the Pro Flow comes with the ability to control timing and is boost referenced right out the box. Just add the 60 or 80lb injectors and you can make 800hp+. The Sniper requires a separate timing controller and special distributor BOTH SOLD...

What have you done to your square lately??

I changed the post break in oil today(second round of break in oil). Decided to just keep using the lucas for another oil change. Had the oil already anyway. Oil was debris free but a little darker than i expected for 200 miles...200 hard ass miles though. I have not been gingerly with the...

    1987 RCSB 2WD lowering questions

2 " drop spindles and 1-2" springs up front. Shackles, hangers, and shock relocation in the rear. Thats about 3-4 or 4-4 drop. Low as you want to go without notching the rear, 4.5 backspacing front and 5.15 to 5.5 rear as far as wheels.

    Van Chassis Squarebody ???

Not that I know of. I know SC is now owned by Fox Factory INC and has a sub called Rocky Mountain Truckworks. SC was founded in 1979 in onteona Alabama by Rod Mcsweeney and now ran(president/owner) by his son Matt. He got his start painting crispy cream and frito lay vans but then moved to...

For your absorption and contemplation I bring you a rumination of the reverie of burnt cats on toast

if you sew the asses together they can scavenge each others poo. At that point the butter is just for flavoring. Toast or no toast but I think Ill have mine on a bagel.

For your absorption and contemplation I bring you a rumination of the reverie of burnt cats on toast

Also you can make upwards of 500+hp through a single 3" pipe so id say your 2.25 duals is fine for a stock 5.3. Its not about the the size of the pipe as much as its about the flow/restrictions/ and frequency of the pulses. You want the x or h to help stabilize the exhaust pulses and with the...

For your absorption and contemplation I bring you a rumination of the reverie of burnt cats on toast

It doesn't "create" backpressure. It just so happens that an x has less backpressure than an h. Either will reduce backpressure significantly.

    Van Chassis Squarebody ???

The g20 done up like an animal(fur, tail, ears and all) that was in the movies in the 90s(NOT the dumb and dumber van) is a guy from centerpoint,AL(where I live today). I use to see it and many of his creations running around town in the 80s 90s Actually Custom Creations AND Southern Comfort are...

    Van Chassis Squarebody ???

Oh yeah...I guess those 5x5s were a bit of a tell,LOL Come to think of it perhaps it was having grown up within a few minutes walk of Southern Comfort that led to me seeing stuff like this all the time. I mean a town with 100s of custom auto body men......the early 90s were an influence on me.

    Van Chassis Squarebody ???

That chassis was made all the way through the 90s unless we just have more than a few in Alabama who have done a conversion. Ive seen flatbed wreckers, truck beds, schoolbus, you name it. But then Southern comfort is in my home town
