Where does this set of wires go?

OOOH the dreaded esc. It is a part of the distributor. I have a video on how to delete if you want to see it. You want to remove it asap. THere is a hand written diagram around 5:50 in the video. It is probably the most helpful part of the video for understanding the actual plug itself

    Dumbo mirrors

Im about to do this to mine as soon as tidy up some other things. Had the mirrors sitting in my closet for a few months. Does anyone know if a truck that came with the "sport" mirrors already has the internal support bracket for the big mirrors. I haven't taken the door panel off to see but will...

    Choke light on automatic transmission?

Ha. when I did the engine swap in mine I discovered the choke light. It didnt work before then, or on any of my previous trucks. I went to turn the key the first time after reinstalling the engine and blam...choke light. I must have "fixed" it somehow during the engine bay prep or install.

    What goes here?

Ill admit the 290hp crate engine does seem like a slug until its highly modified. The cam is a bit big for low end power production with [email protected]/ 450lift.I know thats not a big cam, but compared to [email protected] with sub 400lift ish that a oe 80's 350 came with, it is. It moves the power band too...

    We got a peeler!!

My red 86 gmc had the black primer. It never broke bond and made for a great looking patina. My 84 red gmc has the tan(cardboard) like yours and the paint will flake off pretty easily. Both trucks were originally red trucks just one has the crappy tan primer and one the black.

Does anybody have an opinion on this steering wheel?

I like it though ive always preferred the 4 spoke grant 414 to the classic 5 that you are looking at. I know it(the 414)looks like a 88-94 but i still like it.

Well $#it. Timing cover seal leak on new build/new parts

Im pretty sure its seated. The belts all line up as far as I can tell. No problems with them anyway. I do not remember lubing the balancer or the seal before installation. In fact I DO remember thinking :"hey dumbass...did you put any oil on that" so, Think I screwed the pooch there. It...

Well $#it. Timing cover seal leak on new build/new parts

Pan seal is A-1 upon visual inspection. Used lots of rtv in the corners, pulled pan down for install, etc. Im thinking possible seal deformation. I cant remember having oiled the seal before install. May have damaged it then Ill check the bolts on the cover and pan after cleaning it to make...

Well $#it. Timing cover seal leak on new build/new parts

It came off without removing the pan but when I reinstalled it I dropped the corner of the pan, used a new gasket, sealed the corners. all that jazz. The pan doesnt seem to be leaking but I havent cleaned it off and ran it on a lift yet. Maybe its leaking through the keyway? Balancer was mated...

Well $#it. Timing cover seal leak on new build/new parts

So...I just discovered a ton of oil that appears to be coming from the timing cover seal. This was one of the first heavy pulls under load on the new engine and it appears to have just started considering how much ive been under the hood as of late I would have noticed it. Whole engine bay is...

    Adding a Key Fob

Absolutely yes!!! My first job was doing just this thing. There are a plethora of kits available for just the fob or you can go ahead and install an aftermarket alarm. MOST good alarm kits come with a fob that unlocks doors. Hell you can have remote start, alarm, windows down, doors the whole nine.

    leaf spring bushings

It is in fact the bushing that resides in the front eye of the spring.

Im using one of those 290hp blocks in my truck at the moment. Have it mated to some aftermarket 2.02/1.60 72cc heads, rpm air gap intake,xe262h cam,Summit chromoly pushrods and comp springs/1.6 roller tip rockers. 1906 eddy carb and 16deg intitial 36total timing. Non leaking thermostat housing for Edelbrock?

Mine has some aftermarket linkage that is taking up the spot for throttle spring so I have to aim mine forward. I may have to grind a flat spot on the bracket so it will fit in that forward spot on the intake. So.. as far as the two pumps Id say thats the tuning and not the bowl going empty. But...

Non leaking thermostat housing for Edelbrock?

Not to derail this but I have a ? for AG. Did you have to modify the throttle spring bracket you are using on that performer intake. I have the same bracket and it wont fit where you have yours and thats where I suspect is best for it. Im using the damn hose clamp from the radiator....it works...

Non leaking thermostat housing for Edelbrock?

I have a swivel also. It would sometimes leak from the swivel surface to base. I filled it up with rtv once set in position(no more swivel). It hasnt leaked since and that was 3 motors ago, lol. ONe stock manifold, one performer rpm, one performer rpm air gap.
