No start, no click, no nothing

You sure? The crank circuit doesn't go through the PCM at all, so not sure how the PCM would tell it not to start. There is an offshoot from the crank circuit that tells the PCM it's cranking, but that's it.

No start, no click, no nothing

I'd be curious to see a picture of the switch at the base of your column. Both my 87' and 88' lack any starter related wiring running to it, as you can see in the pictures I attached. Should be two purple wires if it really does have a neutral safety switch for the starter, not just the P/N...

No start, no click, no nothing

An 87' won't actually have a neutral safety switch. It still has the same looking switch body at the bottom of the column, but it's only for the ECM to know P/N and the reverse lights, no ignition wires. Not sure when they made the change, but I think it was around 84-85'. There are physical...

    What is this part????

Ask away! That's what we're here for.

No start, no click, no nothing

On an 87', a couple of things tie together at the junction block on the firewall for a power source. I'd check that and make sure it's tight. I'd also check the connections down on the starter, as that's the main source of power for the cab.

New Gauge Cluster - Some Gauges don't work right

The ground is soldered to the top of the sender, and bolts to the frame not too far away. Shouldn't need to drop the tank to inspect the contact point on the frame.

    Yeeeeeeeeeeeee buddy! Git'er done!

    What is this part????

I'm not totally against it, but it just clutters things up and is unnecessary for a swap. GM actually did away with it all together on the later GenIII engines.

    What is this part????

EGR. Get a block off for the intake and shit-can the whole thing.

Clutch Pedal Position Switch - need pigtails

Those are the money ticket! Thanks again, sir!

my new (first) vette, or my wifes? LOL

Ain't that the truth! I keep eyeballing an exhaust for my C5, but choke every time I see the prices... I'll have to get over it eventually, because the OEM exhaust is way too quiet for my tastes.

    Air Compressor Time

Sounds like you and I have the same friend. So he did decide to go with the Eastwood instead of the EMAXs he was looking at? I'll have to stop by and check it out once he gets it.

Clutch Pedal Position Switch - need pigtails

*anxiously checks thread for the 700th time, looking for an update, only to be crushed, yet again...* Just playin', hah, but wanted to pop and see if you had a chance to look at that harness @ajdemello.

Clutch Pedal Position Switch - need pigtails

Here is a picture I found online, but it only has one of the two connectors: Would you be willing to actually sell me the entire harness? I'd be more than happy to buy it, if you are willing. Just name your price. If not, no worries, just grab as much length on the pigtails as you can. You...

Clutch Pedal Position Switch - need pigtails

You never know! I can always bypass it temporarily to get the truck driving (and banish the wife from it!) until you are home, assuming I haven't come across any before then.

Clutch Pedal Position Switch - need pigtails

Anybody out there have some clutch pedal position switch pigtails laying around? I need some for my manual transmission swap. Surely somebody out there has bypassed it and doesn't need them anymore! ;) They are the pigtails that connect to this:

It's just called a Wiper Switch or Wiper/Washer Switch.

Ball Joints/Tie Rod Ends What Brand????

I guess a little leaking grease never bothered me. It's a minor inconvenience if the part otherwise works fine, in my book. One minute with a paper towel after greasing them and all is well.

    Air Compressor Time

x2. EXCELLENT compressor. I've got one myself, and I've been very happy with it. From blasting, wide open die grinder, HVLP spraying, etc. I haven't had anything it can't handle yet. For mounting, I just cut out some old tire treads to go between the floor and feet and anchored it down to the...

    Popping/thumping in steering.

The above suggestions are more likely, but I had a pop/thud in my old 84' C10. I ended up rebuilding the entire front suspension because of it, and DAG NABBIT! It was still there...Man, was I pissed. It ended up being loose core support to fender bolts. The body would flex just enough when...

    Tilt question

It seems to have been a running change, so hard to pinpoint exactly. I've seen the splined shaft in a 78'. Probably worth double checking.

    Tilt question

Your truck, being a 77', has a splined steering shaft end, assuming the original column. You'd need a new intermediate shaft (shaft from the column to steering gear) without the spline, to use the later column (with D shaped end, instead of splined).
