Adjusting rear drums - pulling trailers

I'm not sure about the factory brakes on a '96 F-150. That's back before most of the half ton trucks advertised towing capabilities, and they didn't care nearly as much about brakes. What you could do, is get the rear brakes adjusted correctly, then upgrade the front brakes as much as possible...

    Mild port and polish...

I'm thinking of doing something very similar in the near future. I was going to port / polish the heads to match the intake manifold gaskets. I figure the heads, at least for me, are the most permanent piece of my engine between the intake and heads. I thought of porting the heads on the exhaust...

4/6 belltech lowering kit seems wrong after install!

I'd do as stated, and drop the front another inch, or raise the rear an inch somehow. I'm with you though. I leveled my 2015 silverado Z71, and I like the look, as long as I have less than 100 lbs in the truck. That's not much, and then it looks a big goofy. That's why I'm adding air bags this...

Adjusting rear drums - pulling trailers

X3 on trailer brakes. I don't like pulling very heavy at all without trailer brakes. They can make a world of difference.

That looks bad ass! I think you need to completely de-badge, and yes, tint the tails. Go for it!

Could I use larger tires on my truck without having to tamper with anything

Larger as in taller, or wider? I know you can go wider, from what others have said on here. Not certain about taller though, without modification to the inner fenders.

    Can't believe this gas mileage

That's better than I can get with my '15 Silverado this time of year! during the summer months, sure.. However, I do suffer from a good sounding exhaust, and 2 daughters who are constantly asking me to drive faster. :waytogo:

    Rear disc brake conversion?

True, the kit or workaround I mentioned above doesn't include an e-brake, and I don't think those states that require an e-brake, allow line locks as a substitute either. To me, if it's an automatic trans, the need for an e-brake is almost never needed. Except for parking on an extreme incline...

    Rear disc brake conversion?

I haven't done this myself....yet, but I believe others on here have found aftermarket caliper brackets for the rear axle housing, that allow you to bolt on the same calipers that work on the front. So you would have 2 left, and 2 right, front calipers and rotors. I'm sure there is more to it...

    Mastercraft 31's or 32'

I think you may have it backwards. A narrower rim would cause the tire sidewalks t be squeezed together more, hence popping the center of the tread up more, and causing center tread wear. Much like an over inflated tire.

    hello all

The truck you showed with the stance you want, and rims you want... I'm pretty sure those are factory 15" Rallys, but with the old Cragar knock off spinners attached to the center caps. P.S. I like the '91 as well.
