    brake issues

Yep, master cylinder. My other guess would have been leaking into the booster, if you didn't see any leaks on the ground, but fluid level was low. This has happened to me before as well.

These were the rims I had. Factory 16" rims.

    Add a seat belt

Yep, I agree with you 100%. I come from a family that up until me... all the males thought 4wd was a luxury not needed. I was the first in the family to get one, and I've used it maybe twice in 4 years, LOL. But if I need it, I have it. I will say I love my "luxury" truck though. After driving...

    92 S10 Short Bed

Those S-10 trucks with the 4.3L are quick little trucks. I ordered one new in 2001. Bare bones options on the inside, with the Sport Appearance package, (the Camaro looking 5 spoke aluminum wheels) 4.3 V6, and the 5 speed. That truck was fun. Great looking project!

    Add a seat belt

Before my little sister was born (9 years younger than me) my dad went out to a junk yard and grabbed a seat from a school bus, and 2 seat belts. He bolted the school bus seat into the bed of an S-10 pickup, bolted the seatbelts in as well, and installed a tin-can camper shell on the truck, and...

    Th350 owners I need a favor

I've got the TH350, but it's not in the truck right now, so I can't help unfortunately. Curious as to what your issue is though... what part of KS you from?

    Add a seat belt

I've had this same thought... I was going to purchase another center belt, and bolt it down through the floor between the current halves that are already there. Therefor, adding one in between the current center belt, and having 2 center belts now. My kids are little (10 y.o. girl that weighs 70...

    Aluminum Silverado wheels

I used a/c condenser cleaner (usually HVAC guys will have some) to clean off my aluminum pontoons on my old boat. It will eat the clear right off, and give you raw aluminum. Strip them down, then start sanding. Finish with a drill buffer wheel or one on a die grinder, and some aluminum polish (I...

    Title problems, vin swap?

This is basically what I had to do with my truck (Daisy). There was not title, and the extended family member of mine that "owned" the truck, used it as a lien on a car loan. He defaulted on that loan years ago, and they took the car. He gave me the truck because he would rather me have it than...

TRUCK NOT GETTING FUEL AFTER GAS TANK SWAP

LOL, That'll do it. Thanks for sharing your mistake. A lot of people would have solved this, and not said a thing so they didn't look like a dope.

    Lack of power

Wow, you definitely need to change something. I pull a 29 foot camper with my half ton (2015 Silverado) and I have no problem pulling the damn thing 80mph if I want. I just don't have the suspension for me to want to pull farther than about 2 hours drive from home. And let me be clear, I don't...

What new tools have you got lately?

To me, buying tools is what a job is all about. I'll volunteer to do almost any job if I know I need to buy a new tool to complete the job. Although that has gotten me in trouble before.... I'm a bit sad though because I'm wrapping up a remodel of 2 out of the 3 bathrooms in our house, and I...

    Wood heater/stove. What y'all think?

Nice looking stove for sure. That going in the shop, or the house/cabin? Would make a really cool cabin piece if a guy had a lake or hunting cabin.

I need a complete tune up - kit?

Don't think you've got an answer yet on the power steering, but what I would do is drain and refill with good fluid. Drive it for a day or 3, and do the same. If you do this 2-3 times, you should end up with a complete flush of good new fluid. Use a turkey baster or some kind of small transfer...

    Hey guys newb here.

Welcome. I don't think you're going to get anyone here telling you to avoid a certain year. There may have been some that had some quirks over others, but by and large, most of us are fans of all the years here. Some like the round eyes more than the later models, but overall we like them all...

Thoughts on running 10 year old tires?

Coming from a guy who had 2 blowouts (on a trailer) in a period of 5 days on 2 year old tires, I'd do as HotRodPC said if it were me. It's not fun being on the side of the road changing a tire. That said, I'd keep the best 2 for spares if you're going to replace with the same size / type of...

New Tires are Ugly. Bring the Classics Back!

I agree, I don't like the busyniss on the side of A/T tires either, but after having 2 different sets of Hankook Dynapro AT's on my '15 Silverado in the past 3 years, I can tell you that you eventually get used to them, or overlook them. I would guess if you put some of the more mild designed...

    Show your daily driver

Here is my current Daily Driver. 2015 Silverado, 1500 Z71 LTZ. It has the 5.3L, with custom exhaust, levelled suspension, 33" tires, programmed, DOD deleted, and K&N. It does pretty good for the mixed 30 miles I drive a day now (used to be double that). It has to double as the family hauler a...

    Brake Pads verdicts ?

Ceramic, and Powerstop for the win. I tow HEAVY with my '15 half ton (within 185lb so of my max GCWR) and they work great. Also did Powerstop on my Traverse when I had it, and towed with it. Wife loved the shortened stopping distance. When my '82 goes back together here next spring-fall, it...

    My brand new pre-owned Chevy

Looks good. I like the '84 and the '94. I had a '92 step side that I did a LOT of work to as a kid. I wish I had that truck back some days. I was a 5 speed, 5.7L (after I was done with it) and a fiberglass bed (stepside) so it could roast the tires off whenever I wanted to.

    Back in a, BIG, way!

That looks really nice! I'd like to have one like that to pull my camper, and give my half ton a break, to pull the boat. :)

Removing paint and "polishing" it while maintaining patina?

Keep in mind, glaze is "glazing" over the issue, and only a temporary fix. An old stealership trick it to glaze a used car, wax it, and push it out the door. Eventually, the glaze wears off, and you're left with the issue still. It will look good temporarily though.
