Photo of the radiator in a 2WD, 2500 w/ SBC

Received the used "longer" radiator today and thought I'd post a comparison photo of it sitting directly on top of, and in line with, the existing 454 radiator.

    TH400 Oil cooler Pan

I believe it's the 2 on the right that wind up being correct for our systems. The 2 on the left fit a different style/size connection. Sorry I can't give better details. It's been quite a few years since I did my install, and because I purchased the kit in that photo, I didn't have to shop...

Fueling issue NEED HELP IM LOST

You'll want to verify function, rather than just keep guessing and throwing parts at this thing. For example, if the metal fuel line leaked, you'd have an obvious fuel leak. Verify fuel pump output, via an actual output test of the pump.

    TH400 Oil cooler Pan

I believe how the transmission line connects AND seals, is via "flare" fitting, so you'd be after that style. Maybe 1/4" flare? So the radiator would get a fitting with the barb, and it would have male threads. The transmission line would get a fitting with a barb, and female flare.........if...

    TH400 Oil cooler Pan

You should find them at the hardware store.....a real hardware store, probably not a lowz or home deep hole.

Fueling issue NEED HELP IM LOST

Have you replaced the fuel pump? Made sure the fuel lines have no cracks?

Fueling issue NEED HELP IM LOST

Clear filters always look empty when the engine is running. The fact that the engine is running....is proof that it IS getting sufficient fuel.

    LMC Window Seals

Okay, cool. Those seals are on my list for this Spring. Tired of looking at them!

    TH400 Oil cooler Pan

How you do this is; Transmission continues to feed the HEAT EXCHANGER in the radiator tank, and then the fluid goes to the external cooler, and then the fluid returns to the transmission. You do it this way, because the HEAT EXCHANGER in the radiator tank helps the ATF warm up fast, after...

    LMC Window Seals

Oh crap.......I wanted to order new barn door seals. Mine are so ratty across the bottom. Are there any sources for them? What didn't you like about the LMC product?

Failure of under hood mounted Marshall fuel pressure gauge

That's probably made by Marshall, for Jegs.

Failure of under hood mounted Marshall fuel pressure gauge

Rebuilt my throttle body a couple years ago, installing the adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Marshall fuel pressure gauge right in the fuel line connection at the TBI unit, and one of the thicker spacers to raise the injector pods. While stuck in LA (Los Angeles) freeway traffic, I start...

    Help stop theft 87 V10

:waytogo: I have always wanted to install a fuel injector facing the driver, and a spark plug with a hidden button that disconnects them.

Seriously man, it's getting old. Climb up someone else's tree. You're attempting to defend the scum of the earth via some keyboard based PC soapbox.

    Help stop theft 87 V10

Well, I guess you have to have a $10k rig taken from you, with all of your belongings, and other family members belongings, and then have it found in the cliche' of f-ing Compton and at the cliche' of a drug house full of Compton's finest local representatives, and then maybe you'll describe...

    Help stop theft 87 V10

How did I say "black" had anything to do with it......other than that's who stole it, and that's who's residence all of our belongings and most of the Blazer parts were found? Just stating the facts. There all sorts of ways to keep the vehicle from being taking, but IMO, keeping it from being...

    Help stop theft 87 V10

Get on youtube and you can spend hours watching guys with instructional videos on how to pick every single type of lock that's ever been produced. All you're doing with any of this stuff is either slowing a thief down, or (hopefully) helping him make up his mind that the time investment isn't...

    Help stop theft 87 V10

The thing I like about that steering column lock is that it's huge and bold......the hope being that the POS who's about to steal your rig will see it before bashing out a window or doing other damage, and just move on to a more opportune target. IMO, just hiding an interrupt of some sort...

    Help stop theft 87 V10

I would suggest purchasing the big red steering column lock http://simjack.com:8185/, as a visual deterrent, and then a hidden kill switch of some sort. My brother had his '89 Blazer stolen from a nice hotel parking lot, while we were about 100yds away, with our 2 vintage cars entered in a car...

Photo of the radiator in a 2WD, 2500 w/ SBC

Looking the radiators up on autopartswarehouse dot com shows the long one is 19" tall, and 34" long at the core, plus 3-1/2" width for each of the tanks. They stock that radiator from 2 sources, in copper/brass at $382 and $402. The short radiator is listed at 19" tall, and 28" wide at the...

Photo of the radiator in a 2WD, 2500 w/ SBC

Just had a friend get the measurements off the long radiator.....39" x 3-1/2" thick. That's the same thickness as my 454 version.

What have you done to your square lately??

My latest adventure included a failed radiator tank seam, and leaking p/s pump, which both occurred at the same time, and I discovered them 2 days before we needed to drop the camper on the hitch, load 9 people and their gear aboard, and drive 5hrs up into the Sierra Mountains, then use it as...

Photo of the radiator in a 2WD, 2500 w/ SBC

I was thinking that too, but take a look at this side view of the long radiator in a Suburban. That top closing panel looks pretty wide, and the fan shroud itself looks pretty shallow, just like how the shorter 454 radiator looks in the photos above...
